This is not really a skincare issue, it's a consumer law issue.

Hearsay from one blog is not proof positive that the palette is fake, can you find any more reliable evidence (e.g. MAC themselves)? Or numerous blogs that do not appear to be copying one another? If you raise your concerns with the seller, it's possible they will agree to cancel the contract.
"We have implemented a No-Hassle Return Policy. If you get your item and are not 100% satisfied, please contact us immediately and return the item for a full refund of your purchase price. Buyer is responsible for return postage cost."
Note that the seller cannot charge you for the postage if you are returning for significantly not as described. However it is a PITA to get return postage refunded, so you would be wise not to accept the parcel if it has already been dispatched. Do not threaten to leave negative feedback or threaten to open a case, eBay take a dim view of blackmail. |
