This has to be my most annoying facial problem. I do not want info on botox or fillers. I'm 35 with pretty good skin so I'm not willing to go that route...just yet
I've done acid peels for a couple years now, no luck. I'm sure it's because it's a repetitive motion area. Thinking about a 12.5 TCA peel...thoughts? Light therapy...kind of expensive but maybe someday...any good results there?
Other suggestions? Thank you! |

I am afraid at least for me it hasnt been an instant answer, but a combo of things.
Facial exercises, the light stim, vit c serum(DIY)
some exfoliation but not a lot, oh and Skin bio ghk copper peptide cream.
Over the last year I saw changes for the better, not total elimination but lessoning and certainly not getting any worse more like stopping further lines. I forgot dermarolling (not at present due to being unwell)
Theres probably a few other things but those have been the mainstay for me for the last year.
even my DH has commented on my improved face, now if anyone had a good idea for sag and NL lines apert from what I am already doing I would be pleased

Not sure if you're referring to frown lines, but I have a pretty persistant single line between my eyes and I use Frownies quite lot to try and train myself out of frowning. Don't want to go down the botox route either as feels a bit extreme.
The line hasn't gotten any worse and I noticeably don't frown as much even when I'm not wearing them.
I tend to wear them at night and when I'm at home on my own. They're pretty cheap too and the pack lasts ages - which is a bonus |

The Safetox device has really improved this area for me and others on this forum...I also use frownies at night! |

I have 2 lines in between my brows, each line is close to the start of my brows.
About 2 weeks ago I started using Aveda Line Minimizer with the Opal. I had low expectations but since I work at an Aveda Spa and sell Clarisonic products I wanted to have personal experience with both items. In about 3 days, I noticed an improvement so I am now using both products on my laugh lines and on my lips. I think you need to use these together every day and I can't always commit the time.
It probably isn't much cheaper than botox - the Opal retails for $185 and the Line Minimizer is $80. I haven't used the serum that comes with the Opal because I don't like the ingredients. |

Great suggestions!!! Thank you so much! I'm also hoping my rosehip oil helps some. I've only used for 3 days and already my skin seems more hydrated and my under eye area looks better.
Keep em coming if anyone has more ideas. |

Hi flgirl,
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I recommend face exercises. Those lines between your brows are caused by repeated facial expressions. By doing face exercises to tone the muscles under the skin, you first open up the wrinkles and then iron them out. What's more, you'll find that you can continue to be expressive without fear of the lines becoming frozen in place.

I am a similar age to you and my elevens have definitely responded to making my entire routine much more hydrating. Cleansing with an oil-based lotion instead of a foaming one, exfoliating with a muslin cloth OR dilute lactic acid (not drying like most acids), moisturising with a HA serum or aloe gel followed by a cream containing research proven ingredients such as urea or lanolin. I've also tried rosehip oil, dermarolling and argireline in my HA serum all of which my skin seems to like and all of which have a good 'pedigree'. TBH tho I haven't used them long or frequently enough to be 100% confident in recommending them from personal experience. |

Lacy53, yes, holding the skin in place especially at night while you sleep does stop one from making facial expressions, which means fewer hours in your life that you're creating wrinkles (Frownies are the more expensive form of this). But what you don't realize from that video is that Tonya Zavasta's forehead isn't smooth just from the tape, but she's also a face exerciser and eats a very healthy diet--both of which have contributed to that beautiful face she has. She even has a face exercise program of her own called Rawsome Flex. She shares her feelings about face exercises in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4eZVoLCRak
But you can get more information about her and her healthy lifestyle from her website: http://www.beautifulonraw.com/ |

I think most people who have been around this forum for a good while and take the time to read older threads have heard of Tonya Zavasta. She has been mentioned many times on various threads and has developed a "following" at EDS. However, newer members such as flgirl and others may not have heard of her or be aware of her website. I posted this particular video because some people prefer a visual demonstration of how to do things; sometimes the written word isn't enough to get the message across. Since this video is relatively new to YouTube, I thought regular followers of Tonya would also be interested in it as well (although I personally thought the recommendation for vaseline was perplexing)!
BTW, her website (beautifulonraw) and her other videos are mentioned on her YouTube channel if anyone wanted to access more information. |

Lacy53, I realize that many on here have heard of her but I also know not everyone may have heard of her, so I mentioned the other info about her in case flgirl or others who don't know about her, try the tape and it doesn't seem to give her Tonya's results overnight or ever.
My only confusion with the Vaseline is how it would enable the tape to stick on. Otherwise, I love Vaseline. Best balm for my hands and only thing I will use under my eyes. |

Yes, but isn't Tanya opposed to "chemicals" in skin care and doesn't she promote "natural" products, eliminating toxins, etc? Vaseline isn't what I would call a natural product! (though I have no problems with it myself.) |

I heard about Tonya multiple times mostly in regard to the Rolling bed of pins, but there is no single thread devoted to her website or her philosophy here on EDS. I have checked her website a few times, but I don't know what to think of her ideas at all. Does anyone know where all her "followers" are?

I don't think there is a thread dedicated to Tonya specifically. I've seen her being mentioned in some of the facial exercise threads, smoothies threads, and also face/body dry brushing threads. Perhaps it's time to start one?
IIRC Toby and Sister Sweets have referred to her in their posts. |

No products, sorry. I would say facial exercise is your best bet. |
