Can Clarisonic replace AHAs or be combined?

I just ordered an Clarisonic, but use Neostrata Oily Skinsolution and Murad acne and wrinkle reducer (both contains AHA and PHA and have cleared my acne)- can I contiunue to use them with the Clarisonic og should I discontiune using them - do you find that you need both? Im afraid that my skin will get too thin..

I can personally use both without much problems but you do need to remember to put on sunscreen since you're thinning out your skin. However, everyone is individual so you will just have to try it out for yourself to see if your skin can handle so much exfoliation.

I use my Clairsonic with retinoids and an occasional BHA with no problems. BUT - if you're just introducing the Clairsonic to your routine, be very careful in the beginning. It might take a while for your skin to adjust to the exfoliating that the Clairsonic can do.

It took my skin about 3 weeks to settle down initially. It had been showing some signs of irritation in the beginning (redness, flakiness, etc), but did eventually settle in. And I wasn't using any BHAs at the time and might've only used the Retin A every other night at the time.

I have sensitive skin and I use an oil based AHA or the Skin Biology Lactic powder with my Clarisonic (sensitive brush) with no problems. But I only do that at night and I alternate that with a very gentle cleanser from GOW.

The Clarisonic was pretty powerful when I first got it, I'd just do that till your face got used to it. It tore my face up for a few days at first but now I use it every day, no issues and I love it. I no longer find myself needing an acid at all, which is great because my skin didn't really tolerate them so well anyway.

I have to say that I don't need an exfoliator like I use to since switching to the Clairsonic. AND - it's gotten rid of my clogged pores and blackheads so much better than using a BHA and Retin A combined did before!! My skin is staying pretty clear these days! I wished I had bought one years ago when I first heard about them. They are worth the money, for sure.

I find the regular clarsonic brush is too harsh for my skin..I use the blue head for delicate skin. I find it works great with retin a or any other exfoliate as it gets rid of all the dry peely skin. It makes a world of difference.

I started out with the delicate brush head (and still got that irritation!). I moved up to the regular brush next, which I am still using, and adjusted to that with no problems. I have the brush for oily skin ready to go to next, but am a bit nervous on that one. My skin is very oily, but has been less so with using the Clairsonic and I wonder if that head might be just a bit too much?? Ah-well.... I'll probably still give it a go.
