I had a depressed chicken pox scar on my forehead and that has gone through a scar excision on January. However, It kinda failed and the scar became wider, bigger and more depressed then before.
On February My derma did dermabrasion which made it even more wider but the indent filled up little bit more.
In March - April, My derma put filler on it which kinda didn't help that much. So I pretty much realized nothing this derma doing is working so I kinda gave up on him and let the skin heal by it self.
After about 7 - 8 months of healing, the scar still looks terrible. You can see how it looks like in the picture below.
I really want to improve it more so I would like to listen to all of your suggestions. I been doing Derma Stamp with 1.5mm needle once every 2 week, for about a month. I'm not sure if it's helping or not. I am thinking about trying:
TCA Cross with %20 strength.
Super CP Serum?
PLEASE tell me all of your suggestions to improve this, I am really desperate and wanna try anything(except get it excised again). I am strongly interested in TCA Cross. I will also keep track of my progress and update everyone how well it's healing, if anyone is interested.
EDIT: I cant upload pics yet because it says i'm a new member, but pretty soon, I will upload pics. |

I have a few chickenpox scars from when I was a child. I never bothered stressing about them because I realized that any procedure that attempted to 'remove' them may just make them worse.
If you're going to try a CP Serum, start off the the lowest strength first. If you're not already using a CP serum then Super SP Serum may be too strong. You really need to work your way up through the strengths.
Good luck. ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

I actually got rid of a couple of mine to the point that I don't notice them. I still have a depressed acne scar on my cheek that's faint though. Anyway, I used a .5mm dermaroller and CPs on them. They bled at the scar but no where else, and the CPs itched like crazy. I never bothered with the lower strength CPs, I didn't care about uglies since it's a spot treatment, and it's already ugly since it's a scar. Had great success with it but it took a long time, maybe six months. I'm really happy with my skin now. |

Spot treating with CPs is OK to do without diluting them. Your skin might itch in the beginning until you get use to the CPs. You could also dilute the Super CP Serum for the first few weeks until your skin adjusts.
Using CPs with the stamp is a good way to go (didn't know the stamp came in 1.5 now - that's good).
I would use the CPs on a daily basis, AND immediately after you stamp it (let any oozing subside). Check on the Skin Biology forum - there are a couple of members tackling bad scars with needles, CPs and acids. They might be a great help. |
