I love my Topix Replenix CF, but am trying to "downsize" my expensive regimen. Any recommendations for an affordable non-vitamin c-based serum? Prefer no/low silicones. Thanks! |

MAC Prep + Prime Brightening Serum has some superb ingredients! I've been using it for a few days now and so far, so good! It has a very liquid texture and doesn't leave much residue on my skin's surface. Doesn't ball-up layered under moisturiser or sunscreen either. It does contain vitamin C, but in the form of Ascorbyl Glucoside.
Water/Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Caffeine, Tocopherol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Squalane, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Gentiana Lutea (Gentian) Root Extract, Polianthes Tuberousa (Tuberose) Extract, Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Extract, Silk Powder\Serica\Poudre de Soie, Tourmaline, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Magnesium Chloride, Potassium Hydroxide, Acrylates/C 10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Cross Polymer, Polyglycerceryl-5 Oleate, Calcium Chloride, Sodium Sulfate, Potassium Nitrate, Citric Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Citrate, Phenoxythanol, Potassium Sorbate, Chlorphenesin, Sodium Benzoate
Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum is another option. |

don't know what you pay for your product. My suggestion is shop for it on Amazon. That is where I get stuff for a fraction of the cost. I hope this helps. |

Or you could do a search in here for the DIY threads, and there you will find a huge number of serum recipies at a fraction of the cost of OTC cosmetics. And because most people on here dont like a whole load of "additives" that are uneccessary the recipies just have active ingredients and no fillers.
I have started in the DIY journey and started on the VIT C serum, now I know you want a non vit c serum but the DIY thread is full of non vit c recipies.
What have you got to loose by having a look and maybe even experimenting a bit, it is good fun and somewhat satisfying
HTH and that I havent gone off on one
Appologies if I have |
