I am looking for suggestions on liquid mineral makeup. I currently use Bare Escentials and really like it, but I would like to try a cream formula. Has anyone tried Jane Iredale? |

I use both Liquid and mineral powder foundation from Jane Iredale. I use the powder in the summer months and switch to the liquid during the winter months. JI products are excellent. Very natural looking and feel like nothing on your skin. The liquid is very sheer coverage so if you prefer a more opaque coverage you will not be happy with JI liquid. Sometimes when I feel I need a little more coverage than just the sheer liquid, I will put a very light dusting of the powder over it and that seems to provide just enough coverage yet still looks very natural. |

Hi there,
I absolutely love the JI liquid minerals. I didnt at first as it has a bit of a weird feel when you first apply it. I also find my fingers worked best (not the brush as recommended) if I rubbed and pressed it into my skin. I agree it is quite sheer but gives your skin a lovely glow. It feels very wet upon application but then dries to an almost powdery finish so for more coverage I wait for it to dry completely and add another layer.Plus I use concealer over the top. Then once its dry I dust any excess off.You can always add her powders over the top too for extra coverage.
My only gripe is that it doesn't have lasting power beyond a couple hours. Looks great about 15 min after application then lasts about 2 hrs only. But then again I have yet to find a longwearing foundation of any kind, with or without primer. Must be my oily skin.I've also tried nude by nature (thick) and arbre liquids (sticky and too sheer)but JI is better for my skin so far.I just wish that beautiful glow it gives me lasted longer. ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

I really love Illuminare. It comes in three formulas. I use the fantastic finish and the key is using their application pad and using just a pea-sized dot of product. |

I am not a brand specific user. My taste often changes. Out of the products that I have used till date Goodlife products are the best. |
