I love perusing through spa magazines and dreaming of beauty treatments I'd love to be having in another part of the world. The Dainree Eco lodge and spa in Autralia is one that I would love to go to. It's in a rainforest, check it out...

Hi Thoughtcrime!
I've been to Daintree (lovely place!), though haven't been to that resort. I've seen it on various programs on TV recently though - it looks so relaxing and it seems to be very popular as well.
I don't get facials done often (I usually do my own), so in all honesty I haven't really thought about which spa I'd like to experience. I'm really curious as to what EDS would be like though so I would probably say that one!

I've only been to a couple of spas, but my favorite is the La Quinta Resort and Spa in California. I had a treatment that was like a facial, but on my body. Oh, so soothing and my skin not only smelled wonderful after, it felt amazingly good. Then my mother-in-law and I had lunch and drinks out in the courtyard of the spa, and just lounged around like ladies of leisure. Pure heaven. |

Mabsy, I envy you that you went to Daintree. Perhaps I will go if I go to Oz this summer. But don't think I can afford the $450+ rooms at the Daintree Eco spa.
mlmaier, w w sounds heavenly!! I've heard good things about that spa also. |

Yes, its absolutely true that its not that cheap to spend money on expensive spas to get massages. However, you can get some good discounts on such spas and massages, if you use voucher discounts which are available for free on internet. |

This is my favorite past time and I strive to get to one twice yearly. We have been to quite a few all over the Southern States and Carribean.
The coolest one was in Santa Fe, NM at the LaPosada. Such a complete experience with a mystical feel.
But our fave that we return to once or twice a year (location plays a part as well) is The Windflower at the Hill Country Hyatt in San Antonio. Hands down relaxation and total package! |
