Hello,
Both of the dermaroller threads are pretty large, so I wanted to start a new topic that is focused on a single question: What topicals/actives/serums do you apply after dermarolling.
I am getting ready to get started and wanted to hear from those who have been doing this for awhile.
Thanks! |

Dermarolling for product penetration or dermarolling for collage induction? Do you want justifications or just a list of answers? |

Hi Firefox,
I really just wanted people to list out what they were using. The "dermarolling for product penetration" thread (which was great) but the thread is quite old and I just wanted to know what the consensus is now. What are people actually using?
Interested for both product penetration rolls and collagen rolls.
Thanks for asking, |

I use Jeunesse Luminesce cellular rejuvenation serum. I got this from the spa that does my cellulite treatments, and I've been hesitant to write a review on it only for the price... I'm not convinced its the miracle the label says but I really really like it and will repurchase. Its a light, cosmetically elegant serum made from stem cells from human adipose tissues. It has a very tiny bit of hyluronic acid in it. I use it almost exlusively for dermarolling, as its too expensive for me to use twice a day. I use .2 and .5 mm dermaroller if it matters to anyone. |

Rosehip seed oil combined with aloe vera gel: have recently experimented with adding ascorbyl palmitate. |

If you're rolling for product penetration, then use whatever serum you like. For collagen production, you want to apply something that's NOT anti-inflammatory because inflammation is the skin's response to the injury and you want it to continue unabated. So personally, I will pre-treat the area I want to roll with vit C and vit A (applying each product once a week, three days apart) and then leave the area product-free for about 2-3 weeks post-roll.
I'm sure others have different opinions, but I'd rather err on the side of caution than inadvertently compromise or slow down results. |
