I am starting to make my own skincare, and want to make a serum with HA, matrixyl 3000, co-enzyme Q10, and vit B5. I don't know what quantities to use of each and I'm afraid to get them horribly wrong and put myself off diy forever. Does anyone have any recipes or suggestions of what proportion of each I should use? |

Recipe index is in this board's stickies http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=11902
Also check your supplier's website, and search the DIY board and recipes index on the Skincaretalk forum. The SCT 'advanced search' function should make this relatively easy.
With any active you should use the suggested percentages listed on your supplier's website. They often also give other useful information such as what the active is soluble in (water, oil, alcohol). Best to stick to tried-and-tested recipes the first couple of times, then adapt as your confidence increases. That may mean you don't use one of your actives in the first batch. |
