This is a picture of a Maine Coon cat that looks exactly like "Frodo". Frodo left us a few years ago but we still think of him often. The cat in the picture weights 35 lbs. which is 10 pounds more than Frodo, but the picture is very very close.

It's the first picture, red and white, very large.

That is one big kitty! It is always so hard to lose one of our furbabies. I hope the picture brings back happy memories for you, Frodo! |

( (Frodo) ) I'm sorry for the loss of Frodo. What a beautiful cat he was! I love reds and Maine Coons are such gorgeous big, loving cuddly kitties. Frodo was 25 lbs? Wow! I love huge cats, which is why I got ragdolls, but by biggest boy is only 18 lbs. Do you have photos of Frodo?
Leo is awesome! Thanks for sharing. |

Yeah, I hope you're enjoying some warm memories too, Frodo. I think of my old kitty a lot so I know what its like.
Those guys are HUGE! Its interesting that here in Vancouver, I never, ever, see cats ANYwhere near that size. Then I moved to Texas and they seemed to be everywhere! I was stunned.
I know that's a particular breed, but it seemed to me that cats in general were way bigger down there. We'd feed the stray kittens and they'd keep growing and growing.. I'd freak out worrying that they may have been the result of some radioactive swamp waste/mad science experiment and would never stop! |
