Hello,
Did anyone try Go Away Gray Hair Color Restoration Dietary Supplement Capsules? I just bumped into it and wonder if it's working.
The internet is full of links, but this one is with the list of ingredients:
https://www.wakeupontime.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=GO%20AWAY%20GRAY
One side of me thinks "it's too good to be true", but the other side says "Hey, false advertizing is illegal, so it must work for someone".
What do you think? |

Haven't heard of it or tried it but it sounds pretty cool! I don't like having to dye my hair and would gladly take a pill if it works. Hopefully someone on here has give it a go. |

I haven't tried this, but I tend to think things that advertise this are bs.
Maybe I'm just bitter I went white at 17. My hair has a youthful texture to it, its just mostly white. Genetics... |

My first grays also started to show up in my twenties. I guess i am just so desperate to stop dyeing my hair, I'll try anything. |

Really? That's exciting! I wonder what would be their magic formula. |

Something about antioxidants. They did some rat tests that grew back colored hair (after going grey) after topically applying antioxidants. Read an article about it. Try to google it and you might find out more...Its pretty exciting. |

Ok. It's not that exciting.
"Alas, if you’ve begun graying by 2012, you’re out of luck, as the pill is preventative:
If you’re already fighting those coarse gray strands, the pill won’t help. According to L’Oreal, patients will have to take it every day for at least 10 years before hair starts turning gray and it will have to be taken for life — or until you decide to embrace the silver fox look."

It was not that article I read. It was in a newspaper about 3 years ago. And the article was about reversing hair that was already grey back to its original color. |

May be that what they hoped to achieve back then. |

I've been taking Amla powder 2x daily, in a glass of water. It has one of the highest Vitamin C levels found in any berry, and was the reason I was taking it. I started noticing that my hair was darkening, and didn't have so much grey. I then started putting a small amount of it in my Hair conditioner. I've only been taking it for about 5 weeks, so maybe down the road it will get better.. That would be awesome. |

Thanks Tija,
I would definitely try this now. Look what i found:
"Popularly used in inks, shampoos and hair oils, the high tannin content of Indian gooseberry fruit serves as a mordant for fixing dyes in fabrics. Amla shampoos and hair oil are traditionally believed to nourish the hair and scalp and prevent premature grey hair."
Does this Amla powder color your conditioner when you mix it like henna would do? |

I read an interesting thing in Dr. Jessica Wu's book, "Feed Your Face".
On page 211, she notes that eating almonds can help prevent gray hair. Almonds contain catalase which helps to prevent hair from turning gray. It won't do anything for hair that is already gray though. The book references a study that had Chinese men eat 3 ounces of almonds a day for 4 weeks and this led to a 10% increase in catalase.
I find this interesting since about 4-5 years ago I started eating almonds in earnest. I usually eat about an ounce a day, sometimes more if I use almond flour. A few months ago, I remarked that it seemed like I wasn't getting any new grays in my hair. I have some at the temples, but so far, it's not spreading to other areas much. Might be coincidental, or maybe it's the almonds!
Might be an opinion for those waiting for this supplement to be available. |

Hi YB.
My conditioner is called Nature's Gate Herbal and it is a very brown conditioner, so because of that, I do not know if it colours the conditioner! I do notice the Amla does mix well. It doesn't leave any lumps or clumps.. |
