Hello everyone on board.I am an aesthetician and this is my 1st mail.
I am so glad i found this board and meeting amazing friends who are very knowledgeable.I have noted down many Skin care formulations which i ill try soon.I love Dr Kassy formulations and really appreciate that.
As an aesthetician I am so much interested to take a formulation class and make my own Skin products.I would love to hear from Kassy and others who already experts in formulate the skin products''Should i go for a professional class ''OR i keep trying to make some at home with recipes? The class i found is 4 days and she is charging,$14.00 which is expensive.I am in TX and she is in CA.That would be much expensive to purchase my ticket and hotel stay.I want all your feed back and advice what should i do?I am so so interested my own formulation.PLEASE Kassy and other formulator share how did you start? can I go for a good formulation with a right recipes and right ingredient and succed?PLEASE advice. Also is any one out there has taken professional formulation classes and suggest the best one??It would be a great HELP. |

IMO purchase all the equipment you need and practice at home/ research ingredients, then attend a course before you consider selling to your clients. Most of the 'experts' who share their recipes on EDS and SCT forums do so for free, we use those recipes at our own risk. Your 'unique selling point' is that you are a skincare professional not simply a talented amateur, to maintain your professionalism you should have certificates to back up your skills and experience. You should also consider your public liability insurance, you may find you are uninsured if you do not take a formulation class. |
