Can anyone give me some tips on what to look for when buying a ph meter for formulating?
I gather I'd need calibration fluids... and a replacement probe. Can I get away with using one of those really inexpensive ones they have for aquariums and hydroponics/soil? |

I don't understand what everyone's doing to check the ph of their products. It seems like everyone on here checks the ph of everything on a regular basis. I just want to know how. I've got ph strips, and they seem unreliable. |

You might be best running a search over on Skincaretalk, Lori, there is a very active DIY community who make specific recommendations (attributes and products) regularly. |

Thanks. I've skimmed over for years and probably have an account but never really started posting since I already check eds obsessively & don't have the time. I never saw any specific recommendations for really inexpensive ph meters the last I checked and can't really justify spending a lot on one yet. I thought for sure someone here would have a suggestion. |

AFAIK you can run a search on SCT without having an account, certainly you can with the Google advanced search. From what I have seen the EDS DIY community has declined over the years, but hopefully someone will reply soon. |

Yes, the last time I checked a few weeks ago no one had any specific recommendations. I'll check again soon or post if no response here. Thanks again. |
