Welcome! What has your medical team said about this? My understanding is that there may be an issue with the way the nerves have healed, sending the wrong signals to the brain and spinal cord (itching, heat, cold, pain use the same pathways). This may mean the problem is not a skin issue and really out of our remit.
Another possibility is that you have become stuck in the 'itch-scratch cycle'. If so have you tried only using cold compresses, covering your hands at night if you scratch in your sleep? Have you tried a pharmacy or prescription cream that is formulated to relieve itching? |
