I remember when Jennifer Hudson first lost weight and she had some pretty prominent stretch marks down her arms for a celeb. Now, she is even thinner and the stretch marks have completely faded and disappeared. I suspect she got surgery for them. We are told there is no cure and that lasers and such don't work but this may not be the truth. I have a feeling that celebs must have the money and resources that are not available to the average person. Since seeing her new improved body it has defintely got me curious and I want to find out if maybe there is some new procedure that completely eliminates stretch marks that the public doesn't know about yet

...um, what?

I don't think doctors would try to keep some super secret procedure from the public, considering how much money they would make by disclosing it.

She probably got loose skin removed.

ETA: Actually she still has them. The pics you saw were probably Photoshopped.

She's WAAAAAY smaller than that now. Jennifer is now a size 4. Now the stretch marks are gone. I thought doctors couldn't cut stretch marks out from the arm area?

Probably the same way that Jennifer Lopez got rid of her pregnancy stretch marks: laser surgery.

She looks to be about a size 4 here and her stretch marks are still visible. Maybe the photos you saw were photoshopped.

And here she is at the 2012 recent Gramm's award when she sang her tribute to Whitney Houston. Still has her stretch marks here, too.

But I have to say, she still looks awesome to me. Such a gorgeous woman and a great figure to boot.

The only ways to help with the appearance of white stretch marks (when they are pink colored you can still improve them with products because they are not settled yet) are laser treatment, excess skin removal, make-up or photoshop ! In Jennifer Hudson's case, she clearly still has some so maybe some pictures were altered or she covered them with a tinted cream...

When the stretch marks are still in forming, they are a pinkish color, compared to old ones that are white (based on what I observed on my own body: I have marks on my breasts and hips). Like a scar, stretch marks have a time during which they evolve. I know for a scar it's two years but for stretch marks I don't know the exact time range; for sure it's less. That is when it's time to address them with treatment creams. When the marks have gone white, it's no use spending big bucks on creams cause it's too late... In other words, if you've just gained a lot of weight and notice the small pinkish lines, you should try to treat them with an appropriate cream, because they are still evolving. Hope this clears things Smile

yup could be...but she has lots of money now so why not get surgery. Due to the amount of weight she has lost, she should have excess loose skin on her arms and tummy (but she doesn't) which makes surgery a very high possibility.
