This looks interesting to me, and I'm wondering if anyone here has purchased it?
http://www.ib3health.com/products/SuctionCupping/SiliconeFacialCup.asp
Does it look like it could be a good alternative to the Vaculifter? It's less expensive, and it looks like it would be simpler and easier to use.
Plus, it's a 6-piece set that includes 4 elongated cups for the hard-to-reach areas of the face, and 2 larger cups for the broad areas of the face. It's my understanding that you would have to buy 2 Vaculifters to get the large and small sizes. The set is $29.95 + $15.00 shipping (to USA and Canada).
I like its simplicity, and am tempted to order a set, but first, I'd like to know what you all think of it.
They also have another set with a glass cup with a vacuum creating bulb, and several plastic mini cups. It comes with a DVD, instructional manual, carrying case, etc. for $39.00. It's here: http://www.ib3health.com/products/SuctionCupping/FacialCupping.asp
That one looks interesting too, but I still think I prefer the simplicity of the silicone set.
Waiting to hear your opinions on this. Thank you! |

It looks fascinating... I wonder if the suction is as strong as with the Vaculifter (from what I've read, I don't have one). I also am curious about whether anyone has experience using this system. Very tempting to order based on the price... |

P.S. I decided to outright ask them how their product compares to the Vaculifter... I included a link to it so that they might give me an informed response.
We'll see what they say! |

Ok, here is their response:
"Hello April,
We had not evaluated "Vaculifter". This facial cupping set is especially packaged for scar care. Many specialists acquire it for their clients.
Ming"
She didn't even mention the anti-aging benefits (??) as advertised on their website. I'm not feeling too good about this... |

Good idea! I emailed them earlier today too, to ask about the durability of the silicone cups. I asked if they will last indefinitely, or if they'd have to be replaced eventually, and asked what their life expectancy is.
Will post their reply when I hear from them. |

Sovajo, check out the response they gave me above... not too promising... |

Gee, that was a fast response! Did you contact them through their "contact us" box, or by email? I sent my question to their email address and haven't heard back from them yet.
It sounds like the person who answered you was just addressing the "Extractor" tool that comes with the glass cup set. It says in the description "The Extractor extra-strength pump uses the same micro cups for scar care, and also has unique First Aid applications".
But both sets emphasize that they're definitely for facial use, listing benefits such as cleansing, giving the skin a firmer, younger look, increasing blood flow, etc., etc.
I would guess the person you reached has no idea what a Vaculifter is, lol.
I'm still very interested in the silicone set. If I cave and order it, I'll let you know! |

Yeah, it's clear they don't know what a vaculifter is... but I did provide a link and told them about it. What makes me question the product is the absolute lack of comprehension regarding my question. At the very least, a customer service rep should have tried to promote the specific facial benefits since that is what I asked about... Oh well. When you (if you!) get it, I would love to know your opinion.
p.s. I used the contact form on their website. |

Just received a reply from Ming, addressing my question about the durability of the silicone cups.
My question was:
Hello,
Your Silicone Facial Massage Cupping set looks very interesting, but before purchasing, I have a question I'm hoping you can answer for me.
Can you please tell me if the silicone cups are "sturdy" enough that they will last indefinitely, or will they have to be replaced from time to time? What is the life expectancy of the silicone cups?
Hope to hear back from you soon!
Thank you for your help.
Ming's reply:
"Our silicone cupping is made of heavy material. I cannot guarantee it last indefinitely. Nobody will, unless they charge the product enough money to include replacing them for your life time.
Ming"
Well, I guess that almost answers my question, lol. If the silicone cups are made of heavy material as she says, I don't imagine they would "wear out" anytime soon. Isn't that what those silicone baking molds and such are made of, and don't they last forever? And it's not like the kit is a hundred dollars or more, so spending $40.00 for it doesn't seem like too big a risk.
Anyone else thinking of ordering a set, or are you going to make me be the guinea pig? |

No disrespect to Ming, but I'm guessing that English is not her first language, and I get the impression that she may not have fully understood our questions.
I read the "About Us" page, and it says there: "Our goal is to bring you the newest and latest in development of health devices from around the world". I wonder if possibly our emails could have been forwarded to the Cupping company and Ming, out of the US. |

Well, my thought is that if this is truly an innovative company offering the latest and greatest, then they should offer excellent customer service. I have no problem with non-English speakers, but at least know your product! Ming (just imo) should have relayed the skin benefits better than what was presented to me... Just saying. Clearly the device is targeted for more than "scar reduction." So.... hmmmmmm. I don't feel good enough about it to order, but if you do I would be very curious to hear your results. |

I doubt these silicone cups ll give as powerful a suction as vaculift and these cups are not cheap for what they are, plain silicone cups without any kind of mechanics....I also think that VL ( for around $80) is very over priced as well... |

I just did some searching around online for silicone facial cupping, and lo and behold, on eBay I found the same ones ib3Health is selling. The seller on ebay only offers the small size, but I think it would be plenty big enough for massaging over the face.
Here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FACIAL-CUPPING-MASSAGE-SILICONE-CUPS-DIAMETER-2-CM-/150792912624?pt=UK_Health_Massage_RL&var=&hash=item231bf53ef0
I ordered one. The total came to $10.92, which I figured was inexpensive enough to take this thing for a test drive and see whether or not it's going to work. Besides, I don't think I would need the whole set of six that ib3Health sells.
The seller is in London, so it will take a while to get here (est. delivery time is 4 to 6 working days, but I don't know if that applies to the USA).
When it arrives, I'll be sure to let you all know what I think of it.
Thanks to all of you for your comments which were much appreciated. |

Awesome! Looking forward to your review! (Especially as the large facial vaculifter is sold out for now... must the EDS members! ) |

I own a similar set of cups that I won from Bellabaci: http://bellabaci.com/
I don't use the facial cups a whole lot, though they are helpful for doing lymphatic facial massage. I mostly use the bigger cups on my thighs for cellulite and they've actually made a difference (the recommendation is 4-5 min/each leg).
It was a bit painful at first, but that lessened and I noticed that the dimples were less pronounced after a month. It helps to leave the cup suctioned on the deeper dimples for a few minutes. It can leave a cupping mark, though! |

I love facial cupping to clear out a puffy neck and jawline. I'm a licensed master esthetician and I use mechanical cupping on my clients. BUT when I'm in a hurry I use the $20 eBay cups on my neck like this:
Quick neck and jowl lift with silicone facial cup:

Hope it helps,

Yes I've seen this but have not used it personally. I have an automated suction therapy machine that I use for the face and body on my clients with nice results. It has an assortment of glass cups. I use cupping before microcurrent for a very uplifting result. Clients love it. |
