I am researching the nu-derm line and have come across a few posts that say at least one of the cleansers in their nu-derm line contain sulfate surfactants. I understand these are damaging to your skin (like the sulfates found in most shampoos).
So which one of the cleansers do not contain them, does anyone know?
I also read on here that the Obagi lines in Japan do not contain sulfates but their line is much more expensive and the hassle and added expenses of having it shipped out of Japan is kind of excessive just so I can avoid getting a cleanser that contains no sulfates.
Otherwise, maybe I can switch to another cleanser once I have completed the nu-derm regimen...?
Any comments much appreciated. |

What is the difference? |

I am in the process of getting the remainder of the products in the nu derm line. I already have Clear (with hydroquinone), and I'm not sure if I should also buy the Blender FX or regular Blender which also has hydroquinone.
Do I really need two products with hydroquinone in it? Wouldn't one be enough? That would be doubling the amount of toxins you're putting into your skin. |

The foaming gel is for oily skin and the gentle is for dry skin. |

I still don't know if I have dry or oily skin. The only area I would call oily on my face is my nose and the front of my cheeks. I am nearly out of the foaming gel and it always leaves my skin feeling tight. I think I will go for the other one then! |

I keep coming up with so many questions. Sorry!
I keep hearing about the skinceuticals c e ferulic vitamin c serum that should be used alongside the nuderm regimen. But it's really expensive! I've seen other people here using cellurlar skin rx which is half the price. So is the skinceuticals really superior to every other brand and it's worth paying $120 for a little bottle? |

It is really a matter of personal choice on the C serums, and unfortunately the only way you will know what you like is by trying them out. I would maybe look into getting samples if you can. |

You can make your own CE ferulic serum cheaply, kit from here http://stores.skinessentialactives.com/-strse-81/SEA-C-Serum-DIY/Detail.bok
There are many other C serum recipes on the recipes index sticky on the DIY board. If you are using L-ascorbic acid be sure to choose one that requires you to adjust the pH such as those from Kassy. If you do not want to DIY you can purchase a sensibly priced CE ferulic serum from here
