If you are not looking for a topical I suggest Vacu Lifter small face. I have fatty deposits under the eyes. It has helped them in that they exercise the tissue and encourage lymph drainage. As far as I know nothing gets rid of fat deposits but surgery. However, you can do several things to keep them from getting worse. There are products on the market that advertise puffy reduction. Be careful...most of the products out there reduce puffiness do to water retention and allergies BUT NOT fat deposits. Just recently I found that Easy Eye Instant Eye Tuck is the best cosmetic product I have used to help the appearance of the bags. If you do a search you can find both the VacuLifter and Eye Tuck discussed on EDS. |

Isomers R-pur for Eyes claims to reduce the fat pads. I have been using it for a while and can't tell if it has worked for me sigh. . . I have also tried Dr. Denese's Baggage Puff Lost (or something like that, I'm bad with names) that I believe is completely temporary. Dr. Graff at HSN just put out a cooling machine which she claims de-puffs eyes (I haven't tried it - but I keep thinking haven't women been using cold spoons for years). The derma pods have gotten some favorable reviews (haven't tried these), but that may be for fluid retension. |

Hi Tasha:
I would definitely recommend Easy-Eye Solutions “Instant Eye Tuck & Dark Circle Treatment.” I have been using the serum for about 6 weeks and the results have been amazing. There are quite of few of us that are using it and you can read the posts (24 pages long) in the Products Reviews Forum of this site.

MystyPines, do you find after 6 weeks there is improvement to the bags when you are not wearing the products? Meaning has it made a true difference in the bags, or just temporary when you wear the products? And, if you have had true improvement, how much would you say you have? |

Hi Rileygirl!
I find that the results are accumulative meaning that the tightening effect is not only an instant improvement when you put it on, but continues even when you wash it off at night and I defintiely see a difference in my undereye area since I have been using it on a daily basis. Again, I will state I do not use the Illuminating Eye Cream with the Eye Tuck in the morning. The Eye Cream I use only at night, because with my skin, the Eye Tuck's tightening effect works best on clean dry skin with no other product on it. And, you will find everyone has a different technique for layering their eye cream, concealers and foundations with the serum. Just have to find the best way that works for you. This morning, I did slather on the Eye Serum (put too much on) and once I got to work I went into the bathroom and I had a whitish residue. I just wet my finger with tap water at the sink and gently patted the wet finger over the white residue and poof gone! |

My mother just had her very "puffy-looking" undereyes injected with her own fat! I realize this is closer to surgery than you wanted but the results were amazing.
Gives me hope as this is also my destiny. |

People who eat a lot of meat have "baggy" eyes. Also cause by genes maybe? But overall, once you get it, it is really hard to remove unless you go for plastic surgery. However, if you want to save money and have lots of patience, you can "massage" this area daily. It will take some time, but you will be able to lessen the "bagginess" of the eyes. Also, don't forget to get lots of sleep. It is usually one of culprit why you have it... Don't forget, you can also buy products at EDS that can lessen (not totally remove it) this problem.
I hope this help...

Hey jade,
I am curiously about the comment, is there some information that can further explain about fat bags occurring with heavy meat eaters? I haven't heard that before and would like to read up on it.
Thanks,
Toby |

me too Jade! I'd like to know where this info comes from. I can't think of any logical reason this would be the case. I would imagine it's far more likely (if at all possible) that the chemically altered fats found in junkfood that are less digestible by the body would end up getting stored, than the natural saturated fats found in meats...
Also, I second the use of the vaculifter and the instant eye tuck. Both are the best things I've tried so far for this problem. I would call them very effective and unless I'm suffering premenstrual bloating or severe allergies, my puffies are finally under control. |

I have swelling under my eyes, too. I don't think it's fat. I use vaculifter some time, but it doesn't help. But I drink a lot of water at night, so maybe I need to cut back. |

May be, it relates to the whole view that meat is not good for your skin overall because it causes inflammation
I've been wondering about the effect of animal protein on the skin, but, I think, there is this long-lasting debate about it among the scientists. |

I recently read that using baby oil (and possibly other oils??) around your eyes will cause puffiness. A 53 yr old woman used it as an eye-makeup remover for 5 years, developed severe bags, and eventually had to have surgery. They discovered during the operation that the fluid built up around her eyes was BABY OIL. Who would've thought something so harmless could turn out to be so vile.
I read the story here: http://littlemissbeautyjunkie.blogspot.com/2009/04/dangers-of-using-baby-oil-as-eye-make.html |

Too much sleep gives me eye bags, too. Reeeeal puffy eyes, top and bottom.
I think the trick is to get just enough sleep. No more, no less.
I also agree with lymph drainage via massage etc to keep the bags at bay. I (when I remember to) dry brush with a baby toothbrush under my eyes. That seems to help. |

Right, few sleep also brings eye bags.
I think the only way to get rid of my eys bags is surgery. Massage may help somehow too. |

Go to the library and take out Paula Begoun's 2nd edition of the Beauty Bible. Theres a section on beauty problems and she dedicates a whole page on puffy eyes and what to do about it. Long story short, there are no miracle eye products that get rid of puffy eyes. Alcohol consumption and a diet high in salt retains water. Sleep with your head elevated. It may be that your eyes are just natually like that. |

You can find both the Vaculifter's + Easy Eye Solutions Tuck here;
http://www.ncnproskincare.com/virtuemart/6152.html
Nanci still has the special on for the Eye Tuck duo, and there is also a video on how to use the Vaculifter.. (I recommend the small face to treat the whole face, neck and decolette also.) |
