Hi there..
I'm wanting to make a DIY C serum @ around 15-20% w/ Vitamin E @ 1% & Ferulic Acid @ 0.5%.
Using the recipe from skinessentialactives for the above.
I'm curious if anyone has added "Phloretin" to their serums?
I can't find many benefits on Phloretin usage. All I see is the marketing factsheets from skinceuticals.
The only place I see that sells it is skinactives.
Which leads me to believe that it's hard to source, or just maybe not worth a damn since they're not selling it.
It has said to be drying which is appealing to me since my skin can get a little oily (was going to add a separate B5/HA serum after application, since this can negate over-drying (or so it's said)).
My issues are acne, acne redmarks, and acne scarring. |

Seems like I was wrong on this, as this had to do w/ skinceuticals using some type of alcohol in their serum. Disregard this. |

Seems like it's a pretty unstable ingredient from what I have read so far and seems to only be mentioned for anti-UV benefits.
Disregard this topic. I'm no longer interested in using it. |
