Ok update, I got my product and used it last night, I did go softly due to the fact that NOT one self tanner has ever really looked real on me, EVER! Close but never quiet right, a bit orange, or a bit yellow, or even ruddy, something just off.

When I went to dinner with my sister-in-law, I made her inspect me to see if I looked orange, LOL, she saw nothing but a nice start to a tan, which was the same I saw! Shock So this works even for me!!Also its for body and face, no need to purchase seperate ones and comes with an application glove, very easy to use and nothing gets on your hands at all.

Now I did go play in the pool with family this afternoon for a few hours, with sunblock on, but still got lots of color! I now look super nice tan. I might of just found the perfect formula, use this then the next day go out in sun for an hour! Yes with spf on and a big hat!

I really do hate self tanners, and prob will use this very sparingly, due to the hassle ect of using them, but the color does work nicely. It does have a color guide, which I like, I can see where I've missed or not. I did not notice any awful smell while using or later either.

That's sounding pretty good, Tiny. Thanks for the review. Very Happy

It'd be great if you could please report back when you find out how evenly the tan fades. Since you've topped up with a natural tan, it would probably be difficult to tell how long the fake one lasts, but I'd be interested to know if you can manage to tell the difference.

I'm trying Vita Liberata Phenomenal at the moment. I gave it a quick one-coat go on my legs last Friday and was surprised by how lovely it was to apply. And I couldn't see a single streak.

When I have more time, I'll do test it out by applying the 2 recommended spaced-apart applications and see if it really does last 2-3 weeks for me.

Your prob right, it will be hard for me to tell. But this is to be applied once or twice a week, so I am guessing that its a week. But yours sounds better if it lasts two weeks and the colors good.

I had no streaking either, very even application. My issue is always the color, they never work at all for me, till this one

Sorry to be a pest, but can you give more detail on the color? I've never heard of this tanner

I have problems with getting any colour at all with many fake tanners, despite my pale skin, would you believe! Laughing

I tried the medium one for Vita Liberata (only that and the fair versions were available in the shop and one coat gave a hint of very natural tan - no weird orangey bits, no streaking and no discernable biscuity smell.

However, in order for it to last longer, you need to apply more coats. The website advises: 1 coat for approx 7 days, 2 coats for approx 10+days, 3 coats for approx 2-3 weeks.

I'll try 2 coats next time and see what happens.

Here's the product on the Vita Liberata website: http://www.vitaliberata.co.uk/store/?q=0&cid=7

I swear by Clarins Liquid Bronze for my face as it's practically foolproof - so easy to apply and gives very natural, non-streaky results. I use a body self-tanner for the rest of me, though!

Majob,

have you ever found a good body bronzer, that you wash off, but that stays until you do? I really would like one of those as well. It would not bother me in the least to apply it like lotion and wash off when I shower later?

The Clarins Liquid Bronze is a self-tanner, Tiny. You can actually use it during the daytime (I think, perhaps, even under make-up, although I've never tried that).

I use mine overnight: popping on some moisturiser and eye cream, waiting for it to sink in and then applying the Clarins.

Sorry, I don't like to use wash-off products as they're more likely to stain my clothes.

However, I do use something like that for my legs. Alas, it is very hard to find and may possibly be discontinued: Air Stocking, which is a spray-on leg make-up. It's fantastic and makes your legs look perfect, hiding blemishes and bruises.

Sally Hansen makes a similar product, although I haven't tried that one yet.

You're very welcome, Tiny. Very Happy

I've got quite a few Air Stocking sprays left in reserve but am looking for a good replacement for after I've used those up. Am thinking of trying the Diego Dalla Palma one, although am now worried that it might be a bit dark and orangey for my pale skin: http://www.hqhair.com/diego-dalla-palma-spray-on-tights/10597965.html?utm_source=googleprod&utm_medium=gp&utm_campaign=gp_cosmetics&affil=thggps

Last night, I applied my Vita Liberata Phenomenal: 2 coats to my legs and 1 to the rest of my body (just in case of disaster!). I'll do a further leg and body coat tonight and see whether those claims of 2-3 weeks actually work for me.

I think I'll probably do a bit more experimenting and then write a full review.

With my pale skin, I take my fake tan very seriously, as you can probably tell! Laughing

How is your tan doing? Still looking good, with no patchy wear?

Sounding good, Tiny. I hate it when fake tan fades in such a way to make it appear as though you're suffering from some strange skin disease! Shock

As for bronzers, do you mean a facial version? I don't know much about bronzers, to be honest (face or body) as I've avoided them like the plague since the 80's (scary, scary bronzer days Shock ) until only very recently.

A Chanel MUA made me fall in love with one of their new bronzers. It's called Sable Rose and is stripey. It is buildable and can give a lovely, natural-looking, sunkissed effect on even my pale skin (and I best suit the delicate English rose look, definitely not beach babe) - much more palatable than the orange/mahogany glitter nightmares of 30 years ago, thankfully!

Sounds lovely and I am as pale as you, it sounds! My thoughts on a body bronzer, face too, but mainly body, is when a fake tans goes a bit odd Shock , a bronzer would cover it lovely and I'd be able to hide the I have typho fever look!

That's precisely why I use Air Stocking spray - because I can never get a truly perfect application of fake tan on my lower legs/knees/feet, no matter how hard I try. Very Happy

I did get this product perfect on knees, ankles, feet, even toes and finger Shock but what I did rather than just do lotion on those areas prior to using the tanning, I did a super light, and I mean super light, layer of lotion everywhere, a bit more on feet, hands, knees, elbows, ect! and it worked. By light, I lightly brushed a bit from my hands all over. Have you ever tried that?

Because my skin is so dry, I always do that, Tiny. Air Stocking makes my leg skin look so perfect that I did actually once have one of my husband's male colleagues ask if he could touch my leg (not in a sleazy way and my husband was there at the time, I hasten to add Shock Laughing )as he had never seen such perfect skin!
