Today could have started out better.
Was woken up by older dog drinking out of toilet bowl(6ish this am),then went downstairs only to walk into puppy piddles and pooh (doing well).
Younger child having first day at nursery refuses to dress or have anything to eat, older one now says has sore tummy, horrid mummy makes both dress and tries to force feed younger one yogurt, gives up on 2nd attempt.
Then goes to downstairs loo only to find it completely blocked, water rising to alarming level, rushes out to garage to find drain fluid. Pours down loo. hoping to get it in time
Feeds puppies(at least they are hungry) lets them out , puts children in car , locks door, leaves for school/nursery.
youngest child runs in, waves to everyone and starts to play, not even backward glance!!!
Mummy now snivelling in car.
Had previously canceled meeting friend for coffee now in mood ,decides to go after all and get eyebrows done!
Goes to town waiting for friend, browsing at Estay Lauder counter, SA comes up asks if am thirsty not sure what the HXXX she means just about to say am going for coffee! Tries to sell, serum, night cream and am cream for hydration , manage to get away.
Wonder what she would say if she knew I had just poked my skin with 1mm roller 4 days ago. No wonder I look thirsty!!!
Glass of vino anyone?
Had eyebrows done seems to be lot sorer , can't be I can handle 1mm roll just what is the matter ?
Having coffee when now can't remember putting puppies in house, and left all gates open.
Now in real panic, get to car, forget to pay for ticket, have to run back to machine and pay.
Finally on way home , look in mirror , eyebrows red, lot thinner, no0t sure if like it, too bloody late now!!1
Drive like banshee, get home shut gates, puppies no where to be see, unlock door, both are asleep on settee(Not supposed to be, but don't care). Want to wake them and kiss both.
Back at home put kettle on.
Never Going OUt Again

Mommies need a sense of humor to survive, I had to laugh as well. This makes me think of too many days when my crew was small! |

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Isn't this what most young mommies days look like? Take heart that you are not alone, and it does get a lot easier as the years go by. |

well your good thoughts must be influencing the ether
Today in my infinite wisdom I had arranged to take the puppies to my daughters school
After having spent 30 mins chasing them round the garden putting one in the car, then the other only to find no dog inside. Puppies have now learned to Jump
We eventually got to the school, puppies instantly grow halos as does younger daughter!!!
Soo thank you AnnieR
Keep doing whatever you are doing it works |

well it seemed like a good day, dogs hadnt piddled on the carpet,it wasnt raining kids were eating breakfast, not yet fighting all was quiet on the western front .
Mummy singing nursery songs , making the soup for lunch, dyeing her hair, just the usual multitasking.
It was not meant to be, the peace was about to be shattered.
It all happened in a flash, suddenly there was no end to mums right index finger
She had chopped it off ,
oops.
What a great start to the holiday.
Next emergancy visit to A+E, after mad drive with two completely calm sensible kids and one mad mother with red hair dye dripping down ears :!:and
bloody finger held aloft.
Then the wait for forever, and the explanation, from very embarressed mum to nurse, finally dressing is applied.
Then slightly less manic drive home, to try to remedy hair .
Rush to bathroom to shower dye out ( now having been on hair 2 hours), having fun doing this with one hand.
Then great, hair now a lovely tint of green .
Yep been better days

OMG Sylvia
See this is why I buy my soup from Heinz. Much safer.
It is a tragic tale you have told today.
I am sorry to say I am crying with laughter.
Even though my heart goes out to you and I hope finger does not hurt too much. I also hope hair recovers quickly.
You must try to write with more seriousness and less humour. That way I wont be chuckling whilst offering the utmost sympathy to you. |

OMG how much finger is missing! and OMG how bad does it hurt, I'll get to the green hair later, but in the meantime, OMG! This is why I do not let anyone know I can cook, we'll didn't till I was starving one evening and hubby walked in on a fabulous meal I had whipped up, he was in total shock, shrugs, oppsie.
now hows your hair? what color does one apply to green to make red, hmmmmmmm blue maybe?
Please do update, my dad lost the tip of his finger long ago, twas not even noticable later, incase that info helps
oh and I am sure your aware this could of been an utter disaster, you could of been doing a face peel like GG was that day! Green hair would of been the least of your worries, but at least the er might of been able to save your face |
