Hi everyone I went for my IPL patch test 2 weeks ago I have my first full session next week (for broken caps on face) I filled out a questionnaire asking what products I have used retin a was on the list the doctor asked me if I found it had helped but tbh I haven't used it religiously enough to see any improvement I use it on and off but she said I can't use it while having IPL as it makes the skin photosensitive.
How long will I have to wait after IPL? I was going to just use it on my forehead lines as that area isn't being treated do you think that would be o.k?
I asked the doc if retin a causes broken caps she said initially it could, the IPL was not as painful as expected and I advised to use aloe vera gel afterwards but I asked if IPL just faded the caps or whether they disappear altogether she said everyone was different not really what I wanted to hear after looking at some images I found although caps were improved they looked more like they had just faded although she said mine were quite superficial just below the skin surface so hopefully mine will diappear just wondered what results might have had. |
