Congrats Lori and welcome to the wonderful world of being a grandparent. We get to enjoy them ,spoil them and then send them back to mummy as payback to enjoy the tantrums hehe.

Yes, yes ... congratulations!!! Is this your first grandchild? What do you want her to call you?
I called my maternal grandmother "Lolly" and my kids called my mom "Grammy" until they were too cool for that. I have a friend whose DGDDs call her "Ya-Ya" which TOTALLY makes me smile!

all and thanks to you all for the lovely wishes.
I will probably just be called Nani.
4sons I do like lolly.I also like Winnies Noni. Maybe I need to think a bit longer on this. I think in England we have the most boring names for grandparents.
She weighed in at 7lb 11oz. She has a head of very dark hair. They have named her Ellie short for Eleanor which suprises me because it is an old fashioned name but it suits her.
Ellie is my very first grandchild born of my first born son and if I could have got rid of the security tag she would have come home from the hospital with me. I think she is beautiful.
I have taken lots of photo's but my son has borrowed my camera because it is better than his. I will hopefully be able to post pics tomorrow.

| Congratulations Lori. I became a Nan-nan (refuse to be called Gran) at 38, and I now have 2 gorgeous grandaughters and 1 lovely grandson and I love them all to bits. They are my pride and joy. I hope all is well. Enjoy her while you can, they grow up so fast! |
