Been using the OCM and love it. I do like to apply a thin layer of oil to skin afterward. Currently I'm using grapeseed oil with a little almond oil for both cleansing and afterward but it doesn't seem to absorb very well? Normal to dry, mature skin.
TIA! |

The lipid portion of the skin barrier is primarily comprised of cholesterol, ceramides and saturated fatty acids (stearic and palmitic); cholesterol particularly depletes as we age. No clear oils are rich in these lipids: good sources include shea butter, palm fruit oil, lecithin and lanolin.
If you want a clear oil maybe try olive squalane which is closely related to a major component of sebum? I find oils absorb far better when blended in the hand with a humectant, my favourite is aloe vera gel. |

Yes Ive tried this mixture too FF (pure jojoba + aloe vera gel) and it works a treat. Any problem with premixing the oil + humectant in a bottle to use that way instead of in the palm at time-of-use? |

I agree. I tend to mix my oil with HA serum from GoW and it sinks in MUCH better than just oil alone. |

I haven't tried because I am too lazy to muck about with emulsifiers and preservatives! |

I can't see a reason not to, if they separate just shake before applying, why bother with an emulsifier? |
