I'm wanting to try one of these lines, especially for body and hair care, but they seem so fundamentally similar that I don't know which one would be better to try. Any opinions or recommendations?
Thanks!! |

I don't know anything about the Mario Badescu line but I will check it out. I am, however, a Kiehls addict (or at least rapidly becoming one).
I have several of their hair products:
Hair Thickening Lotion - a moisturizing treatment I usually put on (sparingly) when my hair is dry but I think you're supposed to use it when your hair's still wet. I like to use it particularly on the ends. It leaves my hair super soft and full. The silk groom version of this (for dry hair) has a cult-like status in the movie industry.
Lecithin and Coconut Hair Masque - another moisturizing treatment you're supposed to leave on your hair for an hour when it's wet but, I put it on my dry hair the night before I'll be shampooing and the results are amazing. I've never been so happy with the condition of my hair. Shining, moisturized and super manageable. Plus it smells delicious.
Leave in Conditioner (with spf) - A little goes a long way with this stuff. I've had a bottle for a year now and I'm not only half way through it!
Face stuff:
My husband (who's pretty fussy) is using the Foaming Non-detergeant cleanser (for normal to oily skin). He's loves it. I'll be trying the Gentle Foaming Cleanser shortly (normal-dry).
We're both using the ultra facial moisturizer (with and without sunscreen). Again a little goes a long way. A tiny little dot does the whole face. Their hand salve is also amazing. My sister uses their creme de corps body lotion and creme repartieur (or something like that) for the face. A lot of the products are scent free as well in case you have sensitivities.
The good thing with Kiehls is you can try before you buy. Samples are available for most products.
Hope this helps.....

I am also a Kiehls' fan. Some products I liked but would not be willing to try again. My fave is their Lip Balm #1, the most emollient lip balm I could find... and I have very chapped lips. Creme de Corps as a body lotion is very good but I think you could find better lotion for that price. As mentioned before, their Coconut and Lecthin hair mask is wonderful...
If you order online or go to their stores, their samples are extremely generous. |
