I just noticed that alpha-derma is sold on EDS. All the time I was reading the raves with one eye closed since I figured it would be too hard to getmy greedy little hands on. All that's changed (except now I have to check the budget)!! My main question is, do I have to give up my beloved vit.c serum and TNS(used nightly only) and retinol? How do I incorporate this stuff? Also, do I need the prep and the serum? Which is the best way to start off?
By the way, I'm 48 (at least till April)with now normal/oily skin. Forehead lines aren;t bad, under-eye is a problem (lines, puffiness) that where the age shows. Please advise. Thank you |

Marina,
As you skin is used to the products that you now use you do not have to give them up. It is Janson Becketts hope that once you start using the AlphaDermaCE over the Prep you will not need a lot of other product because of all the wonderful ingredients in AlphaDermaCE and Prep.
I honestly believe you would be missing out on the wonderful results you get from AlphaDerma by not using the Mineral Skin Prep. The Prep prepares your skin for AlphaDerma by promoting cell energy.
Where your eye area is a concern I would recommend the Okusil for puffiness, fine lines, firmness and wrinkles.
If you decide to get the AlphaDerma line I suggest that you apply in this order:
DAY:
Mineral Prep
Vit. C
AlphaDermaCE (face and neck)
Okusil around eye area (over Prep).
Night:
Mineral Prep
(other products you use)
Okusil
AlphaDerma
Some people use a moisturizer over AlphaDermaCE. You can use the moisturizer of your choice.
Hope this helps,
Winnie

Thank you. Just one more question, do I use an eye cream over the okusil-I presently use Kinerase eye cream. I'm not sure, from the image on EDS the okusil looks like a serum. |

Okusil is a clear serum (medium thickness). You can use an eye cream over it if you are very dry. I am not really up on the ingredients in Kinerase. Personally, I would use a very natural moisturizer over Okusil. Would love to see you try the JB line for a few week with a very natural moisturizer and see how it goes for you. If then you want to add your other products do it one by one.
Before you order from EDS if you have not read in length about AlphaDerma, Mineral Prep and Okusil read all the facts on the Janson Beckett website. The questions and answers address a lot of the questions you have.

The kinerase eye cream is strong stuff. I got a sample and used it daily for 2 days and then got a sort of burning around my eyes. It's strong...
If you do use both, start off gradually! I'd hate to see you have a bad reaction around the eyes!! |

Hi All
Ive been using the prep and Okusil over a week and the ADCE for 3 days and I can see an improvement already, and someone has already passed comment. Im just hoping it can only go forward from here.
Lucia I posted a note on Tuesday saying that a contact I know has meet with JB and is trying to get the products for sale here in the UK which would make things alot easier. I'll keep you posted as to how its going. Its not an overnight thing, he has to research the product and ingredients first and get approval for the UK and then check the prices for import and customs clearance but its some hope anyway, at least the delivery time will only be one or two days. |

P.s. regarding the JB products, I just went ahead and took a chance, order the large size of the ADCE. Thankfully so far its paying off |

Cindi,
That's good news - shipping is a bit expensive if you get clobbered by customs so to be able to get it here would be brilliant.
Hope it works out!!!
Thanks! |

It would be great. He currently supplies Reviva which is produced by Janson Becketts parent company. He has already had talks with Ian Strasser so its all looking good. Hope you enjoy your 5 day pack and you get the results you are looking for. I certainly very hopeful this time round. |

That's funny-that's what I'm debating-I keep clicking the order form with the 1oz & the 4oz size-the difference in about 80$ in the order.
I may waffle for a while, the problem is that it's 4X the size for double the price.
By the way, The ACDE isn't greasy is it? I may have aging skin, but it's oily aging so I have to be careful. Thanks |

Hi Marina, are you a bit like me, you see a good buy, e.g. ADCE 4 oz bottle, and dont even consider if its going to be ok. I took a chance and I was fine. I like the testure of the lotion, I think its definately not creamy and heavy like some. I cant take heavy creams, I dont have oily skin but some creams sit on the face all night if they are heavy, this sinks in really nice. I put the prep on file and I can feel my face tightening, but not a dry tighten. Im impressed and hope it at last lets me settle in the skin care department and stops the need to continually shop around. The Okusil if great too. Not only are you getting 4 times for double the price but saving in subsequently postage too. |

Marina, can I ask, what you are using now, can to control the oil. My friend is desparate for help. We've tried things so far suggested on here, i'e' Milk of Magnesia but shes blotting away at the oil today. Shes going to order an Ahava Mud Mask. I'd be interested in what you are using and what foundation you use..... |

At 48, my oil-well skin is really not particularly bad now-then again it's winter. What I use is a vit c. serum-the skinceuticals one-the vivier made me feel oily. I found Green Cream 9% also helped the oil. When in need of a night-time moisturizer-cellex-c sea-silk is great for dehydrated oily skin. It looks like a cream but it just sinks right in and leaves an almost matte finish.
Foundation: Armani MSF (matte silk)-the best-no chalkiness, just matte sheer finish. Bobbi Brown's sheer loose powder is also great for any skin and isn't oily at all.
Also tried a sample od Dermalogica cream exfoliater-this is great stuff, better than daily microexfolient. The result last for 2 day (and counting). I will at some point order full size-must figure out how to fit all this stuff in.
As for sunblock, the skinceuticals spf 20 is the LEAST oil-producing sunblock I've found so far. |

Forgot to mention, in my long-ago oiliest years, MAC blot powder (still a best-seller) worked great-blotted the oil without adding too much color and easier to use than those paper things.
By the way, has anyone tried the cleanser fron Jansson? |
