You piqued my interest. I just bought two of these. One for face and one for body. From Spirit Beauty Lounge http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com/konjac/
They were out of the regular one so I bought the one with the red french clay for both face and body. I'll let you know what I think. |

Please let us know what you think of them. I did a search also but all I could find was bloggers that had been given the product to review. |

Gently Massage and Exfoliation:
Improve the blood circulations and remove the dead cuticles.
Deep cleansing:
The very soft surface can remove the pore-clogging impurities. |

On their website it talks about gentle cleansing with or with out product, removing blackheads and exfoliation. From what I've read it doesn't remove makeup. I never heard of the sponges it just what I found while looking around on the Internet.
Has anyone used these? If you have what we're you results. |

I'm actually more interested in the body exfoliating version of this. I've been lazy about using my bdy scrub lately so if I can get some exfoliating at the same time as cleansing that will work for me. |

My pink clay version looks like this great shot from beautylovin Blog by Hanne which makes it easier to see the scale (I was surprised at how small it was in real life):

The sponge is hard until you thoroughly soak it with water at which point it becomes very soft and silky with the flat side a little bit rougher than the dome side. You simply massage it all over your face with or without cleanser for a gentle exfoliating/polishing effect.
I don't think it does a great job of removing (my) makeup without cleanser and actually prefer to use it without. However, the good thing is that if you do use cleanser with it, it definitely reduces the amount you need to use.
I agree with the blogger that it is perfect for first thing in the morning sans cleanser.

So I used my konjac sponges and I'm not overly impressed. I got the ones with red clay for the face and body. I do not think these do a great job of exfoliating but they do a good job of cleaning. However, I felt like I had a sort of soap film on my face after using it. I imagine from the red clay. So I had to wash my face after I used it. If I were going to use this on my face again I would get one of the plain ones. I did not use a cleanser with the facial sponge. For the body sponge I used one pump of shower gel and that was enough. Again on the body I did not feel an exfoliating effect but I decided to forgo body lotion after my shower to see if my skin felt moisturized all day and it did. So the red clay came in handy for the body sponge. All in all an interesting and not too pricey experiment. |
