I first heard about Mehron HD from GossMakeupArtist on Youtube - googled and found it online.
I just received two samples of this foundation from Camera Ready Cosmetics. I got two shades - LT1 and Eurasia Japones.
I was wildly off on the shades - I've been using Classic Ivory in either Maybelline, L'Oreal or Cover Girl. The LT1 is pale, pale, PALE! And the Eurasia Japones is too dark, although it doesn't have any pink to it which I like. I found that blending the two shades together produced the perfect shade, so I'm able to evaluate the foundation.
First, the texture. This is a VERY heavily pigmented cream foundation which goes on very smoothly and blends beautifully. I used a wedge sponge to apply first a very thin layer over all of my face. Nice - my skin tone looked even and smooth, with no cakey look or feeling. I then used the sponge to apply another layer over some hyperpigmented spots and let that dry. I wasn't quite there, so I used the sponge to barely tap the spots with the foundation and voila! They were gone baby gone!
This foundation builds like a dream, dries to a matte, not a dewy finish, but doesn't settle into lines or look dry at all. I didn't use a primer underneath.
I am definitely going to order the full size, but am still not sure of my shade. That's cool - CRC has a color match service. I'll send them a schmear of my desired color and they match it. Since I'm using the two sample shades that they sent me to create my shade, I think they can accomodate me!
I HIGHLY recommend this foundation. It's budget friendly too - for $9.95 you get about 25 grams (.9 oz) of product, and it's so highly pigmented it will last forever! |
