hello everyone!! well i am on medication for pimples and thus my doc has prescribed avene (emulsion) sunscreen 50 spf..the orange tube.. but i am not sure how frequently i should use it?? its not written on the package as well.. and i am not able to contact my doc right now.. can anyone please help me out on it?...thank you! |

You should apply it every morning, 30 minutes before you go outside if it's a chemical sunscreen. I think it's recommended you apply 1/2 tsp to cover your face. And reapply after exercise/swimming. |

Welcome! If it is not a long wear/ water resistant product you should reapply every two hours when exposed to UV rays. If you are indoors all day away from windows you can simply reapply before your walk/ drive home. UV can penetrate cloud and glass, plus bounce off water, concrete, snow and sand so being in the shade or in your car does not afford full protection. Check Avene's guidelines for your specific product here

As Onmyboat says allow sufficient time for any chemical agents to absorb and also apply to bare skin. If it is a physical only sunscreen it can be layered over your other skincare products. |

Well its written on the package To apply frequently but not written how many times.. Its high protection 50 spf with water resistance.. Any idea how many times i need to apply? After evry how many hours? And can i use compact powder of a different brand of sof 15 after using this sunscreen? Would it work that way? Thank you... |

You should use sunscreen every day unless you are sure you will not see the sun at all for the day (such as lazy summer days indoors). I even use sunscreen in winter, but I live in New Mexico, so. I've heard great things about Avene. |
