Which of the following would you say is the mildest:
Retin-A 0.025% cream
Retin-A 0.025% gel
Retin-A Micro 0.04% gel
Retin-A Micro 0.1% gel
Tazorac 0.1% cream
I would say the Tazorac 0.1% cream was the least irritating for me What does everyone else say? |

Neither. They all suck the life out of my skin.
Retinaldehyde agrees best with me, but we are all different. |

I was using Retin A 1% and it was a little strong for me. My derm prescribed Ziana gel for me to try! I loved it! It is also a form of retin-a just a lower dose. I now alternate between the two. |

I just stick to 0.05% cream and it is all good for me, I think it is a very individual issue as some are much more easily irritated then others. |

My first Retin-A product was the Micro 0.04% gel. Given my extremely sensitive skin, it wasn’t that irritating. I started off using it once every two days and now after nine months I use it 3-4 days straight with a day break in between. In the first 3 months I did experience breakouts, dry skin and skin sensitivity due to the thinning of the outer skin.
I also tried the Micro 0.1% gel three months back. I thought since I had developed a tolerance for the 0.04%, I’d move up to the 0.1%. That was a big mistake. One night of using 0.1% was enough to set me back to 0.04%. My skin was soooo dry after one night of using 0.1%.
I’m sticking with my Micro 0.04% gel for now. I also find that I can’t have the product on my skin for longer than 10 hours - otherwise my skin would be really dry. |
