Something interesting recently happened to me. Approximately 2.5 months ago, a scrape left an unsightly scar on my hand. I thought that the scar would be permanent.
Roughly 2 months ago, I started taking a teaspoon of cod liver oil for health everyday.
Now, my scar is barely visible.
I wonder if the cod liver oil played a role. |

I have been reading about K2 not regular Vitamin K helping to keep arteries soft and pliable helping avoid heart disease! ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

This was the mind blowing (to me) part of the article. I had read K2 was the "good k"..because it drives calcium from the heart (where it does harm) and into the bone (where it does good). And that is true. But in the above article, K1 plays a role in activating K2 to remineralize teeth and prevent/heal cavities |

The scar has faded even more since my last post on this thread.
I think that this is incredible considering how bad it once looked.
If things continue as they are, the scar might even be invisible by the end of the product. |

Calcium does not harm the heart, it's critical in muscle contraction! The problems come with an imbalance, generally with magnesium which is key in muscle relaxation. All micronutrients have multiple functions in the body which is why I am always banging on about eating from all the food groups and not taking them individually or in small groups without the advice of a suitably qualified health professional. |

Firefox, are you saying K2 does not help calcium go into bone instead of heart. I see many studies on the net. Do you have a citation? Thanks. |

I said exactly what I meant, 7Destiny, no need to interpret or infer anything. |

Still not clear on your point...people should not include grass fed butter, beef and cod liver oil in their diet in order to get skin and other benefits?
Or people should only come to this conclusion by consulting a professional dietician? |

why would your question above, which seems appropriate to me, get such a nasty response? Have I missed something? |

I genuinely don't understand why you are making random inferences from my post? If you are making a joke I will be honest and say it is going right over my head. ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |
