I picked this up at the new bath and goodies shop that opened at the end of my block. (The shop is called Serene Vibes. It's located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. The shopowners are really nice if you are in the area.)
The aromatherapy roll-on is made by a company called Good Witch's Brew based in Jamestown CO. They specialize in skin products (soaps, soaps, herbal balms, bath salts, etc.) using only natural ingredients. Their website iswww.goodwitchsbrew.com in case anyone wants to read up on their other products or their company philosophy. Their line of aromatherapy roll-ons includes many other scents including lemongrass, ylang, orange blossom, etc. I picked lavender spice because Lavender is my all-time favorite scent.
The roll-on itself is a little 1/3 oz glass tube with a rollerball on top. It's bigger than a chapstick but not too big to carry easily in your pocket or even a small purse. What I really like about this product is its ingredients list:
jojoba oil
essential oils of lavender, cardamom, rosewood
vitamin E
No mineral oil or alcohols or lower grade "fragrance oils," just jojoba and pure essential oils. The lavender scent is a true lavender -- not just some frilly floral scent that only faintly smells of lavender. It's the same slightly sharp lavender smell that you get when you pluck fresh lavender buds from a bush.
As the weather has been very cold and dry, I have even been using this as a moisturizer for my hands. My skin is loving the jojoba oil and vitamin E. A little goes a long way...which is good because the roll-on was $8 at my local shop. I think it's worth it to have around for the winter -- to soothe me when I feel stressed out and also to moisturize my palms this winter.[/list] |

UH OH.....From their site:
Sadly our journey has come to an end...
After thirteen years of business, production of Good Witch's Brew products has come to a close. We are deeply appreciative of our fans and we are saddened by the fact that we can no longer supply your favorite items.

Such a pity. I had one of these years ago, picked it up at a fair, I don't think they did regular business over here. It was lovely and lasted quite a long time but after it was finished I never could find something similar anywhere. |

I so get sad when these smaller businesses go under, my favorite MMU site (also had some other great goodies) folded up about a year or so ago! |
