I've been needing a top up on Restylane, so I made an appointment for yesterday with a local derm. I am not crazy about his manner and practices, but I do trust my face in his hands.
Due to the timing of that and some upcoming travel, this past Tuesday was the best day for me to do a deep dermal roll.
So...yesterday, I went for my filler appointment and I am still healing from the needling - small pin prick marks, some redness and roughness.
I was expecting the derm to ask me about my face, so I was prepared with a response.
Instead, he takes one look at my face and wants to schedule an appointment for me for a new skincare regime! LOL...I explained to him that my skin condition was caused by dermal rolling...he claimed not to be familiar with it! LOL.
I then looked him straight in the eyes and said "are you sure?" he finally admitted yes, then very quickly changed the subject and dropped the whole skincare discussion. He went to get my filler syringe, gave me the injections, I paid and went my merry way. LOL.

I'm not suprised he hasn't heard of it. There's LOTS these Drs. weren't trained on in Med school.
At least he didn't tell you he knew nothing of it, and then how bad it was, not productive, or damaging to your face. Giving an uneducated opinion drives me more batty than much else.
