Looks like the lotion is for the face and the cream is for the body. |

AFAIK all the CeraVe products are suitable for the face. Did you find these threads when you searched?

Thank you Firefox and no, I can't run a search when I'm not on my computer.
Thank you LauraLizzie. Well they both say "ideal for larger areas of the body" except the cream says for elbows and knees as well. So I wasn't sure if they were ok for the face too. I was thinking of just mixing a tiny bit with my regular face cream before application for the ceramides and cholesterol. |

Mostly I was thinking of what my face (normal/oily) would do if I put that thick cream on it! I would be a greasy, zitty mess! But from my chin to my toes would love that thick stuff. |

It may depend Laura,
I know some of the CeraVe (I have the tub) is not really heavy or greasy at all and my skin is normal! It is on the light side of creams to me? ![Shock](images/smiles/shock.gif) |

CeraVe contains a balance of the lipids required. Mix it with another product and you throw that balance off, perhaps diluting the ceramides and cholesterol to sub-therapeutic levels. And you really should research the compatibility of all the ingredients. If you want to doctor your cream, maybe purchase ceramides from SkinActives or a ceramide-cholesterol blend from MakingCosmetics. |

I don't like using any Cerave products on my face. Cerave PM lotion feels greasy. |

CeraVe makes am AM (with sunscreen) and PM facial moisturizer which you may like to try. I find that the lotion is a little shiny when you first apply it, but soaks in quickly and thoroughly. |
