vacation...use vitamin c...what to take?

I use Skinceuticals Serum 15 but don't want to take it with me on vacation because it I will be in a very tropical climate. Are there other Vitamin C products that might be more travel friendly? Perhaps something in a cream or lotion form? Or do they all come in the serum form and hence that type of packaging?

My skinceuticals comes in a brown bottle and I have taken it on trips. I just keep it out of direct sunlight. Unless you think the temperature is going to be really really high, then I am not sure.

There are other formulations of vit C apart from the serums. I recently got a sample of a vit C cream by Physiodermie (which I have not yet tried). My understanding is, however, that the serums are the most effective/stable. I'm hoping Betterat40 might explain that better Smile

Thanks for your responses. Someone actually just told me about Trish McEvoy's Vitamin C cream. However, I am a bit hesitant of buying skincare products from what I consider more of a makeup line. I may just take my bottle with me. I just don't find it so user-friendly and hate to fuss with stuff like that while on vacation. Plus I am worried about it getting runned in the hot weather.

Also, I checked out that Physiodermie line. I couldn't find the Vitamin C product but for those concerned with broken capillaries, there is some product for that.

How hot is it going to be where you are going? We're heading into summer here (not quite there yet) and we've already had 39 Celcius temperatures (approx 102 F). My vit C serums have to live through that every summer and they are fine. I like to travel light though so if I wanted to take mine with me I'd transfer some into an empty SC sample bottle (I save these for traveling or for giving out samples of my serums to friends).

There might be a couple nights of camping. I will take it with me and see what happens. I was just concerned because of previous messages I read from people saying they store the stuff in their refrigerator, etc.. and I may not even have a/c for a couple days.

Neostrata makes vitamin c caps for skin. They are available in Canada only. Feelbest.com has them. They are also the proper ph. That would be perfect for a trip.

My apologies for resurrecting an old thread but someone just asked me (via PM) what I thought of the Physiodermie vitamin C cream sample that I posted about. I have just realised that I was actually talking about the Physician's Choice vitamin C cream (I think) - I'm not even sure if Physiodermie makes one. It must be the Physician's Choice one because I don't recall trying any other vit C cream with a decent concentration. Sorry for the blooper! Embarassed
