I have noticed that my skin and hair are just dry dry dry after my daily baths. After scouring the internet for diy de-chlorination techniques I finally stumbled on a simple yet very effective technique for turning hard water baths into a soft water silky experience, and wanted to share with fellow diy ladies for at a fraction of the cost.
apparently l ascorbic acid de-chlorinates water.
1/4th to 1/2 teaspoon of l ascorbic acid takes out the chlorine of a full bathtub of water. It does lower the ph a little, so if this is a concern you can use the sodium ascorbate version. I have done this for the last 2 days and literally feel the difference in the water.
I encourage any feedback or other tweaking advice on this subject. possible glaring omissions etc..etc...

here is a link of the basics of it, there is more info out there, can't find the link that said about 1/4th teaspoon, but read it somewhere, thought it would be a good start.

this is another good link, it seems so simple, we should definitely be able to do it ourselves. |
