I've been doing some research about whether to break down and buy the NuFace Trinity, Tua Trend, or even Safetox... Ultimately, I thought I would "jump" and get the Tua Trend...

But lo and behold, Nancy (NCN) doesn't have it listed anymore. So I emailed her and this is the response I got (p.s. I'm now going to wait until summer!):

"You are correct, we are no longer selling the Tua Products. We are working on getting a new and even better lifting device for the spring/summer. At this point, we do not have an ETA.

You can still get Tua Products from our old distributor, Carl Johnson. His contact information is:

Phone: 1-800-550-4830

Email: cjohnson@tuausa.net

Websites: www.regenerationsmbs.com orwww.tua-viso-usa.com.

Thank you and have a great day,

Me too! I was hoping someone would have some inside information. Wink

Until then, I will pursue facial exercises... and this time, commit to the process!

I just got the Tua Tr'end in December and really do like it. I'm really curious about what could be better since this gadget works well for me.

I might end up buying something before this mystery device anyway.... It looks like the ETA is not set, so for all we know it could wind up being the end of the year. At least you'll have a leg up on the process.

Or should I say, a toned face, lol. Not knowing when it will arrive, I am being more disciplined with my face exercises and dermarolling, that's the good news.

Still, I would so love to know what's coming down the pike! Smile

So, I just ordered my tua trend, and now I read this! Confused I have read so many positive reviews for the trend that hopefully I won't be disappointed!

I must say, I can't wait to find out what product is newer and better!

Kgeaux, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It really is a good tool, but for some reason I just don't see a lot of support for it in the US. It's a bummer that NCN is no longer carrying it, as the websites for the distributor are pretty barebones and don't feel like a site that uses what they sell, if you know what I mean. This forum is the best place I've found for finding other Tua users.

The following is in Nancy's March Newsletter -- woke up to it this morning...

Tua Products Will Be Replaced....No ETA Yet........

I've lost 20 pounds...... and you KNOW when you lose weight, things sag..... this is actually such a great opportunity for me to really test my new non-surgical face lift device that will be coming but not soon enough. I've been pursuing this for months now. It's being tweaked to my exact specifications, hence the delay in getting it to you. The new 3 in 1 lifting device offers:
1.Microcurrent 500 Ma (micro amps - 100 more than NuFace and the optimal amount for the most effecting lifting. 500 Ma is used in professional microcurrent units).
2.Ultrasound (3 MHz - superior for firming).
3.LED (red photo rejuvenation, 660 namometers).
Folks, this has to be perfect and work better than any other non-surgical face lift available for home use or I will not offer it to you - I hope to have it available by June. I'll keep you posted!

Intriguing! I did a Google search, and this is the closest I could come to finding a 3 in 1 combo of LED, ultrasonic, and microcurrent...

It also helps me get a sense of pricing... maybe. It's hard to tell. Not sure if you need a wholesalers license or ? I know the listed price is WAY cheaper than anything we'd be able to get through a third party!!

$20.00 each, with a minimum order starting at ten units? That is unbelievably cheap! I'm almost tempted to place an order.....I'm always concerned when the product is made in China, however. After the tainted dog food, baby food and poisonous dry wall....

True... but how many other skincare gadgets out there are also made in China? We pay hundreds for those...

It is tempting isn't it? But, yes, the hard part is knowing how trustworthy the seller is and the unit. If you go further with this, please report back!

I think that may fall into the category of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I'm also leery of gadgets that attempt to be a jack-of-all-trades thing. It may do all those things - but how well?

There aren't many LED lights pictured, so it would seem to take a long time to use. And unless the microcurrent is a separate snap-on piece, I don't see the 2 poles for the postive / negative necessary for that to work.

Part of what made me choose the Tua was that it was built in Italy. I went with my experience with steam cleaners. I got an inexpensive one from China that was dead junk after a year, vs the one I got that was made in Italy that is built like a tank, performs better and so far, has lived twice as long as the other one (and still has something like 6 more years on the warranty).

Alas, mine is a house gadget, not a face gadget. It's called Ladybug in case anyone else is wondering.

Now I'm thinking some clever person should make a face attachment for it! Laughing As it is, it'd probably melt your skin with the housecleaning settings.

I received NCNs newsletter today and I have to say that I'm not interested in a gadget that has multiple functions. I already have an ultrasound device and an led device. I'm quite sure the LightStim has to be better than an led on a device with more than one function. I'm glad I know this, I would have still been waiting with anticipation. She says her device uses 500 micro amps. Does anyone know how many micro amps the Tua Trend uses?

Good question! I am wading into unfamiliar waters here, so forgive me if I err!

Tua Trend has 60mA......mA is defined as a milliamp, one thousandth of an amp.

I do not know the difference between a microamp and a milliamp, sorry!

I was thinkin about my Tuas this morning....... well, good to know. Luminosity, I've seen the combo microcurrent LED thing, assumed it wasn't any good.
Maybe Nancy will get the special Ageless Spray.... that's really what I want currently.

I have a combination ultrasound and red photon LED, a Face Focus HS3050. I've only used it a week or so, but so far I'm pleased. The ultrasound has sustained and pulse cycles, at 3 MHz.....which is ideal. I am less clear on the LED strength, probably could have gotten more power from a separate unit, but I was happy to get both for the price!

Since I am new to this, and also started the Tua Trend recently, I am not sure who gets the credit, but I am seeing subtle improvement, especially in the eye area.

That's great to hear. I am working on improving this area as well. Thanks for your help regarding the milliamps.

I emailed Tina Richards and asked how many microamps the TT uses. They said it uses 60 mA. I think mA is the abbreviation for microamps. Kgeaux said it is 60 milliamps. Kgeaux, does it say milliamps on the device? Nanci's device uses 500 microamps according to her newsletter. If the TT is 60 microamps, then I guess Nanci's device has more power. So if we figure out if the numbers are based on micro or milli we can figure out which device is stronger. One milliamp is equal to 1000 microamps. I don't know if my logic is correct. Anyone have ideas?

http://www.vupiesse.com/eng/tua_trend/tecniche_face.asp

Packratmack, the above link has the technical specs on the Tua Trend.....

I googled "define mA," that is how I learned it stood for milli-amp. I really know nothing about micro or milli-amps!

http://www.dragonfly75.com/eng/terms.html

This link says uA means microamp and mA indeed means milliamp.

So this means the Tua is stronger?
