I have oily/ mild acne/sensitive skin.
The products I have used so far from the Eminence Line are as follows:
Cleansers:
Mineral Cleansing Concentrate; my skin would feel clean but would become dry and red. I felt as if I broke out more after using it.
Very harsh for my skin type.
Eucalyptus Cleansing Concentrate: This is a mild cleanser. It did feel very refreshing after using it but the redness was still there after every use. It did not seem to help clear my existing acne so it had to go.
New* Stone Crop Cleanser: Just switched to this one and added it to my routine. Have only used it once so can't tell you a lot about it. This one sort of gets absorbed to the face. It is extremely mild and gentle. After 30 seconds of application it actually vanishes within the face.
Toner:
Rosehip Tonique: I spray it on my face only in the PM before I go to bed after cleansing. It's not bad. Not sure if its really doing anything for me. My face feels wet for a few seconds and then I wait for it to dry before proceeding to the next step.
Moisturizers:
Rosehip Whip Moisturizer: Very creamy moisturizer. My skin turned very oily within a few hours and I felt like I broke out more after using it.
Thermal Spring Whip Moisturizer: not as bad as
as the rosehip but it felt very rich for my skin. Did not break out as much as I did with the Rosehip however.
New* Stone Crop Hydrating Gel: Just got it yesterday and have so far used it twice. It is fairly decent so far. It comes in a very small bottle. The cost was $78.00. I can't really say much more until I give it a few weeks at least.
Serums:
Herbal Spot Serum: One word. Useless. It irritated my skin and provided no benefits. I actually used this for 1 week before eliminating this from my daily regimen.
Maize Exfoliating Masque: very harsh masque, it is supposed to exfoliate the skin. Although it may do that it still aggravated my acne even more and caused a lot of extra redness/ breaking out.
Eight Greens Phyto Masque: Probably the best mask out of the all the ones I have used. I did get samples of some other ones but I can't remember the names. This one feels as if your putting on green sea weed on your face. My face felt tight/fresh after using it however it did not help my acne and did cause some redness.
So far that's my experience, after spending thousands of dollars on different products I have decided to stick to one company and stick with it for at least 3 months. I will soon be adding the StoneCrop hydrating mist and may add the StoneCrop Serum as well. Will update later. |

That's a shame about the mineral concentrate - I've been wanting to try that one...
I do like their Wild Plum toner (I don't think I've tried the rosehip one). I'm not sure if it does anything significant to my skin but I did feel that it helped to keep it clear and fresh.
I used up a whole jar of the Rosehip Whip moisturiser and I have to admit that I didn't like it at first and stopped using it. I then tried it again and liked it, again I felt it helped to clarify my face. All of the Eminence moisturisers that I have tried have been fairly rich. I've learned to use them very sparingly and over toner and have not had any problems. Not even with their rose moisturiser (smells so lovely!) which I think is for slightly drier skin.
Of all the Eminence products, I do enjoy their masks the most. I used up their Herbal Mud Treatment, Carrot mask, Pumpkin and Orange, and currently have their rose petal treatment. Some of those (e.g. pumpkin & orange, or herbal mud) are quite potent and need to be used in moderation. But they have all been good and I love how fresh and natural they feel/look/smell. I just wish they weren't so expensive and were more easily available... |

I think you should know that the eminence products you are using now are not what they used to be. Actually the original eminence products now called in the USA is 'ILIKE' and distributed by a different company called szepelet. So don't waste your money on eminence unless you want to have a diluted range. |

Concerning "Mud"'s issue with Eminence: It was mentioned later down on the post, but E. products MUST be diluted with water (or tea as they recommend but who is going to do that?) Plus, you shouldn't let the tonique dry on the skin - it's the moisture or "wetness" that helps the other products to penetrate better. I would use the wetness of the tonique in place of diluting the moisturizer with water - or lightly spritz and then emulsify the moisturizer between your hands before applying after the tonique.
I'm actually an Esthetician and Spa Owner who has used dermalogica for nearly 17 years! I just tried Eminence and am in the process of researching them. So far I'm not 100% convinced. I didn't know about the "Ilike" and parent company issues until today. That makes me wonder just how ethical is Em. anyway?
They have a large opening order for new wholesale accounts - I just don't know if it's worth the risk...
As far as Mud's skin care issues, have you been to a licensed skin care therapist? She should be able to choose what products are best for what you are going through right now.
Oily skin is often sensitive and easily reactive. Dermalogica's Dermal Clay Cleanser is great for oily/conjested skin.
Their Multi-Active Toner is nice. You would probably like Active Moist - an oil-free hydrating lotion.
Good luck! Stick with E. if you want to but be sure you are using the correct products for your skin - or try dermalogica. And definitely see a skin therapist. |

Do any of you have a website to recommend for purchasing Eminence products?
And if you were to only buy one product from the line, which would it be? |

I just purchased this and am using it for few days. My thoughts on this cream is its not quite moisturising enough for the winter here in Australia for my dry skin, but will be great for humid or hot summer days (when it can be sticky here). This cream leaves a soft matt finish. For now i will have to put serum before hand on for an extra boost. I love the color and light rose scent of this cream. I am actually hoping it will help calm down my red cheeks (mild roscea) and help with my clogged pores. The ingredients of this cream is so nice!
I would be interested in hearing others experience in this cream, espcially long term. |

I spent like $200 on this line a few years back. I felt giddy buying them. I ended up throwing them away. Didn't do a thing to me except made me breakout. Won't buy again. |

Everthing I've tried from Emminence has broken me out too. I've tried over and over (to make sure it was really from these products) and every time I get my worst breakouts. |

I have tried its carrot vitamin mask, a very potent and thick mask. After application, I found my face more hydrated , pore less visible and clear complexion. I like it more comparing to the other vitamin mask that I have tried-Demalogica.
From this, I have gained some confidence in Eminence, am going to put some other of its masks in my wish list. But, I won't try its other products besides masks. |

From the whole Eminence line, I've only used the stone crop mask and it was ok, nothing spectacular. Just a regular mask, which I wont be repurchasing.
I love how natural it is but maybe my skin needs a bit more than those ingredients. I was hoping it could lighten my acne scars but to no avail.
But I'm glad some of the products works for you guys! |

The products either broke me out or made my face really oily. (I have oily face to begin with.) I bought some of their masks that's supposed to be hot and good for detox. It was hot alright and made my face really red. Then I get pimples. Some of the masks have pieces of leaves/plants in them. They felt odd and didn't seem to do a thing. |

I am so excited about this line!! After reading the mixed reviews, I decided to give the Éminence Organics line a try for myself. Here's what I picked up so far and I promise to review each product individually as I use them enough to form an informed opinion:
Starter Kit for Oily Skin (picked up today at the fabulous spa in the ByWard Market that now carries Éminence) I just tried the Rosehip Whip Moisturizer included in this kit tonight and am already impressed with it. I need to use it undiluted to get enough moisture and suspect I will need a heavier moisturizer for winter, but this is a great summertime cream for combination/oily skin. More detailed review to follow after I've been using it for a while.
Sun Defense SPF30 in Transluscent (EDS)
Stone Crop Hydrating Mist (EDS)
Thermal Spring Whip Moisturizer (eBay)
Garlic & Tomato Masque (eBay)
My skin is currently combination/oily as I've just gone off the Pill and my skin is a little whacky... I'm hoping these Éminence products will help my skin calm down and normalize.
Can't wait to review these products and grow my collection!! |

I love this line!! I just put in another order for the mineral cleanser, sweet red rose cleanser, rosehip tonique and the couperose serum...I think that all! I don't use them everyday 'cause I have to rotate my skin care regime due to my uber particular rosacea skin. In moderation I find they really help calm my skin down and take out that ever present redness. My fav's are the mineral cleanser(lavender calms my skin down) and the rosehip tonique...just trying the couperose serum for the first time so I'll see how that goes...bye for now |

I also agree that the masks are best out of the line. Although I'm not sure about the Tomato & Garlic addition to the line. I swear this stuff was like Domino pasta sauce! Great on pasta but on you face....
The Sugar Plum Oil free moisturizer and Naseberry Cream did nothing for my skin. And I didn't feel that the creams sank in. I did like the Wild Plum toner more for the aethetic value. It certainly didn't prevent breakouts or refine the pores the way Glymed Plus SSA 2% and Skinmedica Acne Control Toner do.
Overall I felt that Eminence is really for someone who doesn't have any major issues with their skin and is more a maintenance product as opposed to a treatment product. |

Hi gottaHAVEitALL, have you tried all the Eminence products you ordered? Would love an update/review when you're ready! I'm especially interested in the Sun Defense as I received it as my surprise gift and am not sure if I'm using it correctly! TIA! |

I'd highly recommend ilike organic skin care. It's the same concept as Eminence but much higher quality with a great range of products. It isn't priced too much higher either.
I highly recommend the nettle cleanser, phytoestrogen mask, and the nettle algae treatment. |

I have tried both Ilike and Eminence and it seems to me like the Ilike products are slightly more potent. Unfortunately, the strong scent of the products got in the way for me... |

FYI If you want to buy samples of some of the Eminence masks you can do so at buynaturalskincare.com. I just bought samples of around 7 masks. All the Eminence masks looked so delicious, but pricey, and I couldn't decide which one to get, so I'm sampling! |

Another FYI, I placed a small order late Sat. nite for several samples of different masks I wanted to try before plunking down $$ at buynaturalskincare.com. Well, Sun. by dinner time they had sent me an email stating that my order had been processed, packaged, and sent out USPS w/ a tracking number. Now that's IMPRESSIVE CS |
