I am not familiar with the CSS brand, but I have to say that the disparity in pricing between SC and this brand makes me a bit leery as to how comparable the products really are. But that's just me. ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Finally, a sight that doesn't rape folks for C serum...Yay!
Why are you leery about it havana? |

I just purchased the set of CE Ferulic, Phloretin CF and B5 gel.
I have all three SkinCeuticals versions, very new and very fresh, in my house right now. So I hope to get a good comparison, at least in how it feels to use it, if not in long-term efficacy. I may even do some half-face trials. Will report back. |

I look forward to your report, starriest. The raw ingredients for high quality skincare are not all that pricey, for the most part. I do think there is a pretty high markup for a lot of products. (For example, I know that Vitamin C serum can be made inexpensively on a DIY basis, but I am too lazy to do it. )
A half face test would be especially helpful, but any comparison you do will be most welcome. |

I also think that since the actual raw materials don't cost all that much, it's very possible that this knockoff of skinceuticals is as good as the original. A review by someone who has both would be fantastic. |

I have to say I am pleased that finally another company is making a CE Ferulic serum! I am not pleased with SkinCeuticals customer service. I have emailed them trying to find out WHERE I can get this product in Toronto, and they just gave me the 1800 number to some distrubutor that never answers! Its so hard to find CE F in Canada unless you are willing to order on ebay. I dont really trust that, I want to order from the places that makes it to ensure freshness. By the way has anyone here had a better result using C.E.Ferulic than a regular C serum? |

Ferulic Acid doubles the UV protection factor, and also stabilizes the vitamin C serum;

I just tried it and it is working. Also, try their online store at eBay. Link below.

I just noticed this site too. I wouldn't be surprised if the serums are just as good as Sc's. |

There is really only so much that can be done with ingredients for a C serum.. What surprises me is how the *fancy* company's get away with charging such ridiculous prices... As for stability issues, quite a few Skinceutical users complain their's have oxidized, so imagine how they feel tossing $$$$ down the drain.. ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

I know! I totally agree about the fancy company stuff.
C serums like these really need to be kept I the fridge to prolong its life. I wish companies would state that.
I am very likely to order from this company buy probably not for a another month or so. Maybe by then there will some more reviews. |

The one thing I wonder about is pH level though. My products arrived yesterday and it just now occured to me that I would like to test the pH level to compare. I just need to figure out where to get litmus paper strips, I guess.
I bought three items: CE Ferulic, Phloretic CF and B5 serum. I have all three SkinCeutical versions at home to compare.
Today I took a close look at two: CE Ferulic and B5. The CE Ferulic seems identical: texture, smell, color...just the same. While I have the product, I am not a big user of CE Ferulic normally and usally restrict it to certain non-face areas, such as forearms and hands. My skin does not really react well to topical Vitamin E, so I don't use it often but use it sometimes. If and when I compare the pH of this and SkinCeuticals and find them the same, I think I would call this an exact duplicate.
The B5 serum is not identical as it has a different viscocity and a very slighly different smell. This is thicker than my SkinCeutucals B5. I put a drop of each on the back of each hand. The SkinCeuticals was much thinner and ran down the hand easily. This version very slowly moved with a lot of resistance. I tried a half face test of this. Once applied, it felt similar. When dried, the was about the same, maybe a little drier with this version. So far, I think this is close but not exact. But I also think there is not a lot of magic to HA serum and could never understand the SkinCeuticals price. So this offers an execellent option for all but the same product.
I have not yet opened the Phloretin CF. This is my fave Vitamin C serum at the time and I really hope this is as identical as the CE Ferulic knock off. Without the Vitamin E causing me problems, my skin thrives on this stuff.
Will continue to compare and update reporting. |

I also bought a few of their serums about a month ago. I haven't started to use them yet, I'm trying to finish a bottle of Skincueticals C&E Ferulic first. It will be interesting to see what the PH test shows. |

Thanks. I may order from there. I was actually thinking more instant gratification and wanted to find locally. I want to know NOW! Seriously though, great to have this option. |

starriest - did your serums come with a complete ingredient listing on them? Someone reported they did not and the company refused to give them out even though she had already purchased them. |
