After years of pregancies and weight loss & gain...my breasts are really hanging low and I need breast lift surgery.
Until then, my bras just aren't cutting it anymore. The only type of bra that gives me any decent support is the Sassybax type bra -...but they look like sports bras not very sexy.
Regular underwire bras aren't cutting it anymore.
As I said, I need surgery, but until then, any bras you know of that have a shelf to sit my breasts on? LOL
Thanks, BFG |

BFG - what is breast lift surgery? I know people who have had reduction and others who had implants to lift what was sagging but I have a feeling you mean something else. |

It's a common procedure where they reposition the breasts to a more youthful, upright position....lots of info online about it.

My SIL has done it along with two small implants.
I have met with my plastic surgeon to already have a pre-exam for a lift with reduction, no implants needed due to having enough tissue mass. I want those babies smaller and more mobile!! Hubby loves them, he just doesn't have to carry them around or dress them.
What has prevented me so far is that in the meantime they had found a lump/cyst that I had to watch for a year span. So bc of the extra mamograms, etc. I put it off. I am good to go, now I just have not had the time.
It's on my bucket list and it will make life more manageable. If you can do it, go for it.
In the meantime I have discovered the bras from Soma, the vanishing back series with full coverage. Very nice lift, like having a crane but w/o feeling the hardware. I own a few and they are very comfy, even more so than my sports bras.
I feel your pain! |

your gonna think I am totally crazy but pectorial muscle exercises do help, sad to say, it takes a long time to see it, fully help. A good freind had iffy looking implants put in, iffy meaning she wasn't super thrilled with results, after doing workouts (not ment for that) they improved A LOT.
Also if your going to do the surgery, go to as many Dr.'s as you can, she went to one, had it done and wished she had not jumped so fast. She does not regret doing it, just wished she'd asked freinds and done her homework to get the "pretty" results she wanted |

I really like hard-cup under-wire balconette bras from a specialty shop myself.
I have H-cup breasts and that is the only bra model that gives me enough support.
I have no idea where you are located, but Bravissimo has a lot of pretty models and I think they ship abroad. If you cannot buy from them, you could check out the brands they sell and try to find out who sells them in your country. The polka dot bra they have in their main page shows what type of bra I meant. You can see that the under-wire is padded and the sides of the bra are high, so the model is feminine and pretty, yet supportive - but you'll need one with hard cups.
I buy most of my bras from Change of Scandinavia. Maybe there is a store nearby you or you can find one that has an online shop.
Both of those shops also have lovely bikinis that are super-supportive yet look great! And Bravissimo has "strappy-tops" with hidden bra. I have one (from the times I was still F-cup) and I just love it! Both of those shops also sell the regular soft-cup variety, so you need to be careful of that if you shop online.
For sports I love Enell. The top is hideous looking in pics, but quite ok live. With this one, you don't need to worry about your assets getting more hang. But if your problem is more with hang and less with size, then you might not need these.
I used to think that I need surgery and that my breasts are ugly mittens, but after finding these shops no-one else except my husband knows that! But I do hope I can lose some of this weight and get couple of cup sizes down. As Annie said, these are heavy to carry around! I have used those silicon slips that they sell to make thin shoulder straps a bit wider, but they can only do so much.
Oh, it seems that because I'm new, I cannot post the links! Sorry. |
