After reading this article on cosmecuticals (in the Daily Mail online article title "Rise of the wrinkle busters) that mentioned Avon's new ingredient A-F33 I did some research and it sounds quite promising. I thought I'd pass along the info--especially for folks in the UK where Avon is running a free trial (search for avon pro line corrector to find the trial)
Supposedly, the results of using this product are "skin benefits comparable to treatment with a skin-resurfacing laser". That's a big claim. And it's all based on this new ingredient, A-F33. Here's what Avon has to say about it:
"A-F33...increases levels of the enzyme PLOD-2. This enzyme declines with advancing age, resulting in loosely woven collagen strands that the body degrades. The result? Fine lines and deep wrinkles.
A-F33 increases availability of PLOD-2, which leads to better cross-linked collagen fibers.
This is just in the test tube. The new product also has clinical benefits. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles. Data show that the product results in a 50% improvement in overall fine lines and deeper wrinkles in 11 weeks. In addition, it was more effective than a “leading-dermatologist-inspired brand’s anti wrinkle serum.”
I'd love to hear what you guys think of this new ingredient and once you've had a chance to test out Avon's new line--I'm very curious to hear about your experiences. |

I don't think this has been released yet has it? They gave out samples for a trial - but I can't find it for sale anywhere yet. |

That comment was for the Loreal Revitalift:
And in the past few weeks, L’Oreal’s new Revitalift Laser Renew serum has been shown by a clinical trial to produce skin benefits comparable to treatment with a skin-resurfacing laser. You’d expect these new wonder-potions to cost a small fortune, but all the above are between £20 and £40.
