I believe it! I think that many cases of acne can be caused by Demodex too.
When I first read about these mites I was FREAKED. But I realized that any mites that would take up residence on my face wouldn't live long because I use castor oil and olive oil mix to cleanse. Smothers the buggers! |

From what I've read and heard from doctors and sufferers of rosacea, is that there's no way that can really treat rosacea. And according to the research I've read, the good thing about finding out that mites' fecal matter being the cause of rosacea is that now scientists and researchers can finally work on finding a cure.

I heard this a few years ago as a theory from my doctor. Actually, some people beleive in washing their face with anti-dandruff shampoos, taking a tiny mixture of hydrogen peroxide and borax, etc. All of which I have tried and didn't help.
I have tried every topical and swallowed every anti-biotic my derm has thrown at me, but the only thing that has worked for me is an IPL (when done correctly). Maybe its because it zaps the poor mites! |
