I wonder what Paula Begoun would say about it. |

As Lotusesther has already said - it's one of the oldest skincare ingredients around. Just Google Rosewater and you will find a plethora of information singing its praises. Why would you think it would be irritating? It's supposed to be beneficial for the skin. And, yes, I use it. I buy the concentrate and just make it up when I need it. |

Keliu,
I thought that it might be irritating because it's fragrant. Fragrant ingredients can be irritating at times. |

She seems to think it could be an irritant. But then, she puts just about everybody's favourite anti ageing herbs in that list, many of which have been used to soothe skin ailments since the beginning of time. |

There is always SOMEONE who will be allergic to something. Even water is a potential irritant for some people.
It makes me wonder how she describes the AHA and BHA she recommends and sells. Whatever you can say about them, "soothing" or "non-irritant" aren't the first words that come to mind. |

The thing is this: I don't take her word as gospel. However, when evaluating beauty products, I do take her opinion into consideration, although it's never the final say. |

I find Rosewater sort of drying to be honest. Although it does make my skin appear sparkly somewhat. |
