Hi Ladies - Obagi has just launched the Obagi Hydrate Moisturizer. The Obagi site says it is "designed to work optimally with the Obagi Nu-Derm® System—especially if you are experiencing dry, flaky skin as your skin undergoes transformation, Hydrate will help provide relief and comfort." Well, this goes against everything I ever read about Nu-Derm and the interviews with Dr. Obagi on how moisturizers will impede the progress of skin revitalization. I use the ZO Day & Night Creams, which are supposed to be moisturizers disguised as actives but they leave my skin dry.

Has anyone spoken to their derm abut this new product and if it impacts Nu-Derm? I am on maintenance now and maybe will use this on the Nu-Derm days.

I don't know but I had a dry skin while I was using obagi. I scratched around my eye area. I got three big brown spots size of penny around my eyes.they are so ugly. I want to get rid of it. but they have been there over three month. I don't know how to get rid of those scars from dryness due to obagi.

I read somewhere that you "probably" bought Obagi products elsewhere and not EDS. Probably the Obagi products might be fake so can not comment on your results. However, the scratch that you made can be minimized/improved with the use of "genuine" Obagi products but will take longer than 3 months.

This is a new launched product that I am not aware of from Obagi. I have not consulted my doctor since I've been on maintenance, so got no clue. However, I use alternating skin-care products that I discovered @ EDS on days that I don't use Obagi Nu-Derm. I find these have greatly enhanced my skin while on maintenance mode. Try exploring and you will see what I mean Smile

Hi azumma Smile I don't think you can return it... Are you using the complete kit of Obagi Nu-Derm (plus the Retin-A)? or 1-2 products from the Obagi kit.

Hi - which products have you liked on maintenance? Is your skin dry or normal and do you have hyperpigmentation? Thanks in advance!

Hello denisiel Smile I have combination skin. I don't have hyperpigmentation anymore (thank God!) and have been very happy with Obagi Nu-derm results. The only thing for me to keep my skin while on Obagi Nu-Derm maintenance is make sure that I wear sunscreen. I usually get the highest SPF that I can get SPF100 during summer and at least SPF 60 during winter times. I try not to go outside when the sun has the highest UV rays. I go before/after that time because I still need some sun for vitamin D Smile

On your other question, I LOVE Priori Coffeeberry Day Cream Complex, Priori Coffeeberry Night Cream Complex. I find these 2 products give extra hydration on my skin. LOVE the way it just smooth and absorb over my skin. Other days, I cocktails Exuviance Vespera Bionic Serum with PSF hydraluronic acid. I find these 2 products further hydrates my skin too... And yet on other days, I use Osea Algae oil with my favorite St-Yves lotion after long swim which I find replenish my skin... I also use Orlane Extreme Anti-Wrinkle Regenerating Night Eye Cream as I find that it helps with making my eyes looking "fresh" and looking "bright" the next day.... These are some products that I use, but I don't want to bore you (because I still use other products other than this! Smile)... Try experimenting because EDS has a LOT of good skin-care products... I think my skin is happy because I try my best to take care of it.... When you look your best, you are more happier (I think) Smile

Well, I am on maintenance right now and I don't use Obagi everyday. During days that I don't use Obagi Nu-Derm, I use other products to complement my results with Obagi Nu-Derm Products... But if you are starting with Obagi products, ideally, you should use it everyday and not mixing it with other products to maximize your results.

Use a little bit of pure Argan oil around the itchy areas to minimize the itchiness. Also, I hope that you are using the genuine Obagi products? Are you using a sunscreen?
