i just wish to know about it...i just start using it last yr but use it rarely..but whenver i use it, it cause me acne n pimple.....n my skin felt weak..prone to breakout n redness.
i have combination and sensitive, acne-prone skin. im using the clinique foundation...i would like to hear recommendations to found a foundation tat wont make me breakout and is good for my skin type. my beautician told me that no matter wat kind foundation u use, it wil clogged pores and u wil get breakout ....is this true? |

I used to have this problem until I began using a mineral make up foundation (like BE or Jane Iredale).I find that the mineral foundations dont' clog or make me breakout but all the traditional liquid/cream/powder types do! In fact if I wear foundation now it's only ever a mineral type.

adelaping - which Clinique foundation are you using?
Mineral makeup comes in both powder (loose and pressed) and liquid form. I'm using the Jane Iredale Pressed Base foundation and I then set that with a face spritz. It looks like I'm wearing no makeup at all. Very natural. I started off using the Bare Minerals loose foundation but, while i liked it at the time, I do prefer the JI. The BE looked a bit too pearly for my liking if I didn't use any powder over it. I have also used the JI Liquid Minerals (this is my mum's fave foundation) and I liked that one as well. |

Mabsy,
Quick question regarding the JI liquid minerals.
I use warm silk loose powder, do you think the liquid color would be the same? I am having trouble finding samples of the liquid.
Thanks! |

mollmarie, the liquid tends to run a bit darker. I use warm silk in liquid but the warm sierra in the loose. |

mollmarie - I agree with Lianne. I wear Warm Silk in the pressed base and Warm Silk in the liquid is a touch too dark (or at least too warm) for me and I go with Bisque instead. |
