I've been using Pure Argan oil for a few months
What a FLIPPING difference.

*I haven't broken out
* My skin has a glowly, dewky, healthy look
*Super soft and smooth
* It's faded old scars
* Beautifully evened and tones my skin

It smells a bit "weird" but I mix it with a tiny amount of pure vanilla essential oil.
It's literally liquid gold, as they call it.

Hi, I'm male 58, about argan oil, its a good oil that penetrates so well to leave skin "natural hydrating feel" like feeling. But its utmost that people understand: 1. wrinkle creams are meant just to target one thing...to adress the wrinkle with moisturizing action, ok, but to achieve real results is starting from under the skin like DMAE combined with ubiquinone cream is what will LIFT your skin and the ubiquinone(co-enzyme Q10)not synthetic which we need after 30. Because it starts to diminish and we need DMAE to tone up the facial muscles. So I'm the kind of guy that never looks his age for instance they last carded me for beer at 43yrs old and now I'm waiting for lifecell because I had great results in the past with just co-q10 so I'll post a comment later about a week re: LIFECELL and see if its true about all its claims.

I LOVE pure Moroccan Argan oil, compared to other oils that I've tried on my skin. The oil comes from a nut and it is very hydrating. It has naturally rich anti-oxidants, Vitamin E, carotene, lots of fatty oils for hydrating skin. I find that pure Argan oil penetrates very well and improves skin elasticity. My mom has scaly, dry skin. But since I've applied pure Argan oil on her skin, the dryness and flakiness is completely gone. I also swears by this oil as a deep treatment hair oil... The only thing is that it is very pricey for a small bottle of 100ml. But I think it is worth the price. No testing on animals too which is great.

Isn't it AMAZING??? I can't believe I waited so long to try it.

I don't use any other moisturizer save for Argan oil.

I'm oily/combo, but I live at 7000 feet and have had a heck of a time balancing my skin until the miracles of Argan...LOVE it.

My skin is SO smooth and breakouts only happen if I skimp on my cleansing routine (I got lazy and didn't wash my face for a few days because I wasn't wearing any makeup, MISTAKE!).

I'm sold and hope to never use anything else (I get bored with skincare and I really need to learn to stick to what works for me, and this works!).

I'm using a ridiculously expensive Josie Maran ($28 an ounce) as I was in Albuquerque in Sephora and wanted it STAT. I bought the .5 oz, which will last a great while as I only need 3-4 drops for my whole face.

I'll be finding a cheaper alternative...probably GoW when I run out and need it again.

I agree. You do not need to buy a brand name. Be sure it is 100% argan oil. GOW or any site that sells 100% oil.

I like it for hair.

Pure Argan oil should be "light golden" in color and must be in opaque bottle, not clear glass/bottle. Should be stored in dark spot of any "area" not directly expose to the sun.... 100ml will cost you approx. CDN$13 to CDN$14 a bottle of 100ml... You only need 2 pumps for the face and neck, and any extra you can either apply on the hair... You can also use this for the body (I think this is better than lotion).... Believe me, it feels very silky and absorbs very well into the skin.... It does not feel sticky like some other oils....Once you try, you will buy it again for sure Smile

I agree on not buying "the name brand ones", huge markups, but where is all buying, I see it on ebay, how do we know who is selling the real deal? TIA

I used some in the past and loved it, can't remember which one I used tho.

Hello Tiny Smile The only ingredient of the pure Argan oil is ARGANIA SPINOSA. If there are some other ingredients in the list, then it is not pure. You don't have to buy online. Organic stores sell this stuff...

Ok one more questions, refined or not? Refined means heated to remove odor, ect., but does that also remove the stuff we want?

TIA

nevermind, figured this out on my own, LOL, unrefined... Very Happy

Yeah, I use this is my hair and it's lovely (or at least argan + other oils). I've never considered using it topically though... I'll maybe look into it. Although i'm using a retinoid just now so perhaps not for fear of complicating my regime even further.

I use oils after a treatment product. If you use your retinoid first and then wait and apply an oil. I would wait at least five minutes preferably thirty minutes.

Same here. Actives followed by moisturizer (which is a combo of argan oil with other oils for me). I also just wanted to confirm that you definitely do NOT need to buy the name brand oil. Garden of Wisdom, Mountain Rose Herbs, Nature's Gift, and Swanson Vitamins all sell nice versions of it. I'm happy that I can still stand by my original post on argan oil four years (?!) later: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=29936

I personally use the Bioevolve brand Argan Oil.

It's 100% Virgin and certified organic by USDA and European Union. Absolutely no fillers in there so you get what you paid!!

Best of all, their price is reasonable
Face 30 ml - $39.99
Body/Hair 100 ml - $59.99

I get mine shipped to me from Biosense Pharmacy Smile easy!

30 ml is an ounce, right? I think 39.95 is very high, might as well order Jose's at that price. Just my opinion, there are tons selling for a lot less and certified as well.

Just curious, I was looking at various posts, you recommend Biosense for various products, do you work for them?

I agree...$40 is more than Josie Maran Shock and JM is expensive. You can get wonderful, unrefined argan oil for $10 an oz.

I've been using Josie Maran Argan oil. I love the Argan Balm for my hands and elbows. I also use it on my face at night.

Hello dionie Smile Any brand is ok as long as it is 100% pure Moroccan Argan oil. However, I find the price of AUD$45 for 50ml bottle of Argan oil is very expensive, as I just bought this oil very recently in Toronto Canada (approx. 7-10days ago) at approx CDN$14 for 100ml at the organic store. Try to check your local organic stores, they should carry it and maybe the price would be cheaper.
