Has anyone had this? And if you have how long did it last?
With me it started during my 2nd pregnancy and Hasnt gone
My wee one is now nearly 4 and I still have this.
So much for everyone telling me it will go once the baby is born, what a load of rubbish
It can get really painful, through the whole
pelvis , and sometimes travels down my thigh, making me walk like a waddling duck
I have seen a physic,and chiropractor ( was
extremely painful, and any benefits were short-
term)
Apart from painkillers, which I take on an as needed basis, I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? |

Sylvia:
Have you definitely been diagnosed with Pelvic Girdle Pain?
That the pain sometimes travels down your thigh
makes me wonder whether you have sciatica, or a tight psoas muscle. |

There's some correspondence and advice concerning Pelvic Girdle Pain on Mumsnet, which might help.
And Amazon.co.uk has quite a few books on the same subject.

When I had it, I was living in England at the time and saw a wonderful Osteopath in St. Albans. I'm surprised I didn't get it again after being pregnant with twins. I do have some pains, hip, back, and recently got an "Inversion Table" to see if that sorts things out. |

My sister has never been pregnant, but had quite a bit in pelvic pain for years, presumably from fibromyalgia which we both have.
She got some relief from a tens unit and sitting/sleeping on heating pads.
Interestingly, it pretty much disappeared after she moved into a different home with hardwood floors instead of stone floors. |

Last night I tried something called "Natural Vitality Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon" which is basically magnesium and what a difference. I went to bed with less pain and woke up with all my muscles less tense, no pain at all. Wow, I'm definitely going to continue taking it and see how things go. |

It's something where you can hang upside down, helps stretch out your spine, etc. I got mine from Amazon.com but here's a website for it: http://www.teeter-inversion.com/ |
