| hello... i've been using the lightstim acne light for about a week now... i may have overdone the usage time the first few days... about 20 minutes or even a little more per spot... and twice a day... for the first three days that is... after i started noticing skin getting darker i've cut down to the original instructions for 5 minutes per area... but before i went overboard with the device, i called lightstim and asked them if it was ok to be using the light for more than the recommended time, and they said since there are no UV rays, there is no "side-effects" from using the light more the the recommended time.... can anybody explain why? or is anybody else getting the same problems??? please help..... |

| So you are supposed to use it 5 mins per area and did 20 minutes plus for each spot…. Wow that’s heavy going. I’d suggest contacting Steve at Lightstim, as its their device and he can perhaps better advise you as to whats happening. I do know some have mentioned that they need to apply moisturiser after using it because their skin gets very dry, and you don’t mention doing that here. Also when you do go out in the open air, are you using sunscreen? I’m wondering if your skin has become sensitive to light perhaps? Just guessing here. |
