Purchased the Best Smile Forward kit from ShopNBC. Came with a a makeup kit with a great eye shadow palette, in the palette is also worthless concealer and the most horrific blushes. The lips plumper and lip wrinkle cream are whatever. It also came with three jumbo lipstick pencils......which is why I am writing this, because there is no message boards on shopNBC and once you leave a review you can't leave another or alter your. The pencils!! My mind is blown. I use the neutral one. Then the other day as I'm putting it on I realize there is a sticker around the pencil, it's not actually imprinted. So I remove the sticker....underneath it says its by "Princessa" blah blah blah, I look online and you can buy these sticks for $1.99 each. I even looked to see if he owns an interest in Princessa, and no he doesn't.....so ultimately IMO he bought a closeout lot of these pencils and added it to the kit to make it look like such a great deal. And that is just complete BS. |

I do like some of Skinn's products. I don't see much difference between La Prairie or YSL's Perfect Light Eclat and Skinn's Bright Eyes concealer. I have two La Prairie Light Fantastic pens and Skinn's Bright Eyes and there is not much difference between the two. I did check the description of the kit you bought and I believe the palette is an older one as I have it from a couple of years ago. The 6X Lip in that kit is great. And I like his eyeshadows a lot. They are as good as Laura Mercier or Trish McEvoy IMHO. He doesn't make singles though and I like matte neutrals so I've stopped buying his palettes because I tend to use up only a few of his shadows. But he does have some nice products in his line. |

I actually saw his show late last night, he flat out said, he makes products for other companies, perhaps that is what happened here. I would assume he makes those pencils for them. I have heard great things about his makeup. |

Just like any other line, not all products work for everyone. I'm 58 and don't look near my age thanks to some of the essential products in the Skinn line.
Enjoy what works for you! |
