Saw a little article in Allure mag about the Actifirm z-peel 30 and 60%. Just curious if anyone has used any of these products. Thanks in advance. |

rileygirl why oh why did you post this?? I was just saying that I really don't need to buy any skincare for a while and then I take a look at the Actifirm website. I guess the peels that you mention are professional ones and unfortunatly they are not offered by anyone near me because they sound like a great option for sensitive skin types like me. They have a Actizyme Cellular Peel that you can use at home that is mighty tempting. It sounds like they use an enzyme technology for their peels which I like the idea of. The Enzyme Renovation Mask also sounds nice!! The rest of their products didn't make me say WOW though. I was just wishing that there would be a better way to exfoliate instead of using AHAs, scrubs, etc. and was starting to consider enzyme exfoliation as an option. I will see how long I can resist buying the Cellular Peel and Renovation Mask.
Here is a link to the Actifirm website for those who are interested:

BTW it seems that they sell this stuff on a number of websites which are listed on the
Actifirm website.
I have a bad feeling that I will be writing a review of this stuff soon. |

rileygirl what websites sell the actual z-peel 30%? I thought it was only for professional use. I would be willing to give it a try if it comes with instructions and is not super expensive. |

radiantskinshoppe is one. I believe I saw $42 for the 30% z-peel. I just did a google search for the z-peel 30% and there were several sites that came up. Sorry, I can't remember more of them right now! |

rileygirl I just ordered the Actizyme Cellular Peel 15%, which can be used every morning. I will report back after I have used it for a while.
I had emailed Actifirm on this several times and they were very helpfull with my questions. Here are a few things that they mentioned.
The 30% and 60% Z-Peels are results wise equivalent to a 30% glycolic acid peel at 2.5pH with no down time. While the results are similar the choice of 30% or 60% is based on the patients skin type.
I know you use Super Serum (I use Proheal). Vitamin C serums can be applied after using the Actizyme 15% peel in the morning. |

rileygirl what types of peels are you using now? Have you ever had glycolic acid peels? I get 70% glycolic acid peels done once a month at my dermatologists so I would really interested in having someone who has done both compare the two. I am really looking for an alternative to the glycolic peels because they are a big hassle! I know microdermabrasion is an alternative but I don't want to take a chance on that with my acne prone/sensitve skin. Hopefully, this Actifirm will be as good as it seems. |

I have had the series of glycolic peels. I believe 70 was the highest they went. I just got a light one before I left on vacation (which did nothing, but its a long story). I have not tried to do anything like this on my own, but I really can't imagine it to be very difficult. I'll keep you posted on my progress! |

Rayna,
Don't be afraid of the Z-peel, it's not a chemical peel and the beauty of it is, you can use it year-round! It's completely natural, you should try the 10% and 15% home versions. |
